My daughter has attended this school for 3 years, starting with kindergarten. Her teachers have been mostly wonderful and the staff has (almost) always been very pleasant! My daughter encountered a bit of bullying in 1st grade and I argued with her teacher and principal quite a bit to resolve it, which I felt was excessive. Her first grade teacher also enforced rules unevenly, allowing some kids to do something like bring in cupcakes for his/her birthday but then refusing to let other kids. Again this was brought up with the principal and a few of us we're initially brushed aside. I shouldn't have to fight for these types of things! Education-wise my biggest complaint is simply that they do not push the children. It may contribute to their low test scores nationally. My daughter has almost NO homework and she is in the advanced classes! Although the schools performance I see both that great, for the most part the staff really loves these kids and I believe they are doing the beatbox they can with what little help they have. A new principal was also brought in two years ago and I have high hopes for him, so good luck!!
