Our Savior Lutheran School is a treasure. We love every minute on this gorgeous campus. Our three children have very different educational needs and they are all thriving academically. They also have joined right in to all the activities and have made wonderful friends. We love OSL!

Our experience at OSL has been a blessing. Our kids are able to be taught in an environment where they’re growing academically and spiritually. The staff is very loving and caring, the front office, to the classrooms and cafeteria. The school coaches are encouraging and our kids have grown friendships that are positive, that we love to help nurture and cultivate. The school offers a diverse environment which is very important for us, in addition to a very secure campus making this a top choice. The school administrators strive for excellence as do we and our family would refer OSL to any parent looking for a great school!!-Dru Evans

This past year we pulled our children from HoustonISD and placed all four at Our Savior Lutheran. Our children were top tier learners and were plugged in socially but we knew they weren’t being challenged and often overlooked as they were not a disciplinary distraction. Our entering grades expanded from preschool to fifth. We were first attracted to their love of the Word of God, beautiful campus, and classical curriculum. Upon our first tour, we knew this was the place for our family, it brought tears to my eyes learning how much our children were missing not just academically but socially. I have loved that my children (as young as preschool) have been introduced to classic literature, world history, and grammar. In a culture, full of distraction and confusion it is encouraging to see that children at Our Savior Lutheran are being taught HOW to think and not simply WHAT to think which is fueling an evidently confident student body. Exploration and seeking wisdom are encouraged. Respect isn’t simply spoken about it is practiced and required and is mutual among students, teachers, and administration. Students are expected to take care of one another and mentor each other and you see this with chapel buddies and the house system. I would venture to say that most the school knows my four-year-old son by name and its common to see him sitting with the middle grade boys at basketball games. If you’re tired of your child just filling a seat, not being held to their full potential, not having enough unstructured play time, or if you’re worried about what they might or might not be learning or if it's a safe environment then it’s time to trust that instinct and schedule a tour. I guarantee that you won’t regret knowing that your child is learning but also being shown and told each day how truly special and loved they are because that's the truth of what Jesus tells us and OSL is committed to making sure each child knows that. OSL is more than a school, it's a community, it's a family.

OSL is amazing! The staff is phenomenal; experienced and nurturing. I love that they incorporate Christianity into classwork. Curriculum is based on a classical learning style which is a nice bonus. Each week they have chapel and are assigned a chapel buddy; giving them the opportunity to be mentored/supported by upperclassman. Everyone has been so welcoming. The PTO is very active and sponsors events to raise funds for supporting different objectives (new playgrounds, updated technology). Lastly, the campus is beautiful. The kids have many opportunities to play, learn and experience the beauty of God‘s world daily. I highly recommend OSL to anyone who is interested in a school that supports exceptional education, community and a Christian atmosphere.

I have been pleased with my experience at this school. I have kids that are very different from each other in personality and academic abilities; the school has brought out the best in each of them. More importantly they have instilled the Christian faith in my children and given them a Christian world view that focuses on the truth of God’s Word. Not every day at the school has been perfect for each of my kids, as they are indeed works in progress, but the leadership and teaching staff have put the fruits of the spirit into practice and taught my kids about patience, self-control, kindness, love, etc. in their disciplinary actions with them on those not so perfect days. The classical curriculum has challenged my more academic student and the redundant nature of the curriculum has helped reinforce concepts in my less academic student. Overall we have been very happy with OSL in the 10 years we have been there.

This school started out great for my kid, but over the years the class sizes have doubled . Classes are now equal or greater to public schools, only with private school tuition . They continue to recruit new students, there obviously isn't a CAP on the size, 25+. There is zero computer interaction or training for the kids. If you are looking for small intimate classes with an advanced technical education please do not enroll your child here. This is a glorified homeschool with a hefty monthly fee.

Our Savior Lutheran school is great place to for both you and your child. The small community lends iteslf to building lifelong relationships with other parents and teachers. The education is classical and it is excellent. There are no gaps in their curriculum, and your child will have a very solid foundation. I know personally that many of their gradautes go on to several top private high schools in the Houston area and do very well. I love the traditions of this school, too! They have the house system for Kindergarten -8th grades. It's absolutely wonderful for building leadership and connections across all grade levels. I also love the safety and feel of the campus. Definitely check this school out if you are moving to the area and want a private Christian classical education for your child.

We are a new family to Our Savior Lutheran School this year. I feel this school is true blessing! Our son is so happy with his new preschool class. The staff is warm and friendly, and we have already made friends with some of the other students' parents in his classroom. The campus is just beautiful! We're so happy we found this hidden jewel of a school.
