Horrible school! My daughter came for Kindergarten and First grade! Her kindergarten teacher was very knowledgeable and manageable and aware with teaching kindergarten students. However towards the end of the school year, my daughter was bullied multiple times by one student. Nobody contacted me regarding this situation when she approached multiple teachers and told them what was happening. I found out days later that she was punched in the stomach and in the face by this student when teachers and principals were already aware. I had to go up to the school multiple times and still nothing was done because the school year was over this year and first grade her teacher is more strict and more intolerant with the students behavior which I understand however to some degree you have to be more patient which she is not. There’s multiple times. She’s yelled and done things that I don’t agree with as a teacher our parents perspective. This is her first year teaching first graders and it shows very much. This year as well. Multiple times she has been bullied which I had to go to school multiple times to get taken care of which I shouldn’t have to do yet again no teachers are principals and let me know I had to go to my daughter to get told the truth. Regarding other things, the school does not take any pictures they don’t let you go eat with your child they don’t have field trips. It’s a very low funding school so don’t expect much out of anything. The front office is horrible and disrespectful. They don’t acknowledge you whenever you enter the school. I’m so glad I’m moving out of the area. I hope to never have to put my daughter back in school like this ever.

Excellent teachers and staff, but the administration is not following the HISD student code of cinduct in regards to student safety. One of the many jobs of a teacher is to keep his/her students safe. But when the administration does not follow through with the appropriate guidelines in the code of conduct, what can the teacher really do???

One of the best elementary school in Houston, very caring teachers. Very dedicated teachers & faculty - you can see their dedication while dropping off & picking up you kids.

I have great things to day about this school. All the teachers and staff are very involved with the education of each child. I really loved that they carry radios to communicate eveything that is going on at all times. Many times i saw those ladies work as a team to talk to a child that was misbehaving. They always knew where my child was at all times and if a child stayed too long in a bathroom break, theyd send someone to get them out immediately. I always felt that my son was safe at school. The teachers are excellent and very qualified. My son was a transfer student as well and since 1st grade he has made the honor roll. The only thing i regret, was not being more involved in parent meetings. I manage a property nearby and I am proud to tell my residents that Piney Point is an excellent school.

Great, caring teachers, great school. My daughter first made the honor roll when I transfered her to this school. Even after moving on she remained an honor roll student.
