Never send your kids to this school ! The staff is horrible , they are so rude and same with the principal !! They are also horrible at handling special needs kids !

Booooo thumbs down. Blond lady is RUDE and it’s disgusting the way she talks to the parents/kids. Horrible staff backing up that lady. Letter sent home or not! Where’s the respect for the family’s that don’t have anyone to watch their kids!?

extremely rude staff, will not let you attend your child’s graduation if you bring any other children, they will make you stand outside and stay with the child/children you brought.

PLEASE!PLEASE! Do you and your family a big favor by avoiding sending your kids to this school! The education here is TERRIBLE and you will find out as your child develops to a higher grade. My child was so academically and she is a natural fast learner. We just moved here and she never struggled so much at our previous school. Teachers here don’t care about your kids! As much as I tried getting her help, no assistance at all! Don’t believe the staff if they are telling you your child is doing good. Good luck!

All I of my children have attended Lowery. I still have one student there. It is an Amazing school with an awesome staff. They truly care about the students and work to teach them in many different ways. There is a great blend of students from all walks of life and different cultures. A great safe place for kids to learn. I Highly recommend this school!

This school humiliated and mistreated children on their graduation DAY not only did they traumatize them they have dented their expectations and and motivation in life it is disgusting it's all over the Internet what the principal does and the way she acts it is DISGUSTING

Honestly the teachers and the principle are horrible. I wouldn’t send my child here again even if it was the k my school I’m a 100 mile radius. Rude and lack all empathy.

Just and overrated school, that does not find solutions on every day issues, and beware and do your research before submitting that application to enroll your kids to years of manipulacion, just don't listen to me, and do your research

Terrible, they are so strict and my child can't even talk with other kids unless the teachers help and there is so much everywhere and the work is so weird and selfishly over done for 10 year Olds, or 7 year olds.

I never been to more discriminating school. If your not white don’t send them here. I have an education and they didn’t discriminate against me but I could see how they treat others. The way they teach in the school is horrific and the teachers need more education on how to handle more teachers. They need a note for everything even if you want to send them an email? Are we in the stone ages I understand it’s for safety but anyone can write a note. Why not call parent on file? They make everything so complicated.

I am so thankful we moved into this area and we were zoned to Lowery. It’s such a great school in all aspects. A nice blend of all types of kids from all walks of life, whereas some schools are primarily one type of demographic. Lowery is a beautiful mix of so many different types of people. In my experience the students all come from good families, and the surrounding neighborhood is full of wonderful people. This school isn’t in the top 10 of Texas, it’s not an award winning school and they have moderate, scoring. But it is a GOOD little school with so much heart. The school has strong principals of respect and friendship, and the nurse is so amazing. She takes care of my children as well as I would when they’re sick. Highly recommend Lowery!

Everything you would ever want in a school for your child. First off, this website, Greatschools, isn’t the best source of information for a school. If you look at HAR, Zillow and other applications Lowery has an “A+” rating with tons of award symbols. It should also be taken into account that the parent reviews on this website are basically all 5 star. This school last year had an 8/10 on this site, but due to covid the testing and progress scores have knocked it down significantly. But that’s the case for all schools period. My daughter is in love with Lowery. We’re staying in a house that’s too small and not adequate for our needs anymore just to stay in this school zone - the real estate zoned to Lowery Elementary has been a hot market for decades because everyone wants to attend this school. The school building itself is older, it’s not a brand new facility, but the staff is amazing and they all have the same values and cares towards children. They have a very serious “lowery proud” motto which the children are reminded of every day. They encourage kindness and respect for everyone. This school is AMAZING.

We moved to this area 6 years ago and the school had amazing reviews. Once my child started though I could tell they were not equipped to handle collated with special needs or ANY type of learning disability. I have been advocating for my child for 5 years to get the service my child is entitled to but they continue to decline service even with IEE and outside recommendations. The school is low income now and it shows with the type of kids and staff attending. The school has a HUGE teacher turn over rate and it all started with the principal a few years back. My child has been bullied hit and taken off the bus due to bullies.

It’s been hard to find a better school than this, and this school has quite literally kept us from moving; we are unable to find a better one. If you are a prospective home buyer checking this site to get stats for this school, know that every single person I have met gives it an exceedingly high rating, including myself. The website rating is completely detached from the actual school. The rating is based on statistics that don’t reflect the thoughts and experiences of those who know this school firsthand. My daughter LOVES her school and she has been blessed with amazing, caring teachers each year. They take safety and security very seriously which I’m thankful for, and the faculty goes outside of their hours and job description to provide service and help for every parents and student. The school has a motto of respect and kindness to others which they implement on a daily basis. Kids get “proud tickets” for good behavior and acts of kindness towards others, they’re exchanged for small prizes. Truly just an amazing little school.

This school has exceeding my expectations and the reason why I moved to this area. Ensuring adequate education opportunities for my daughter is high on my list of priorities. God bless all these teacher and may our community continue to develop.

This school excels in every aspect. The teachers are fantastic. The parents and community involved with this school is fantastic. I haven’t meant anyone yet who is dissatisfied with Lowery. You can’t go wrong sending your child here.

The teachers are very helpful they listen to your concerns. They pay attention to the children who are having a difficult time, and customize the best they can to help your child.
