Parents are extremely happy with the school. As soon as Ms. Brooks-Gumbs took over a few years back, EVERYTHING improved because she made excellent changes to fix things. She put great systems in place to organize the campus so kids could learn and be safe. She was a true professional and kept parents informed. My kids are learning and passed the state test because of GOOD teachers and when principal Brooks-Gumbs was there. I think the new principal that came this school year needs to figure out how to keep the progress of the school going because it had gotten on the right track and with high expectations.

The new principal is so rude, the 1st grade class are 25 plus kids. The traffic process for morning drop off and after school pick up are horrible! My daughter comes home and while im helping her with her homework, i ask her did the teacher go over the info about her work. And she replies no she tells us to just copy stuff off the overhead projector. So they are not teaching either! They dont go on field trips! What elementary school dont go on field trips! Terrible experience for kids. Shame on you Ms. Brooks! My daughter has been here from kindergarten to 1st grade, and im removing her. Real big question mark when it comes to planning meetings and school functions of any kind! Please beware of this school principal and staff!

I was a previous student who went to Gross Elementary from Pre-K to 5th grade. Some people may say this is a terrible school, but without this so called terrible school i wouldn't be able to understand the teachings I learn now. Thanks to all the teachers and staff I currently attend the top middle school in the state of Texas which is T.H. Rogers Middle School.
