Though there are many, many great teachers, students and faculty have been leaving this school in droves due to administration and safety concerns. The administration just gave up trying to enforce any structure or safety policies. Most students do not do any work. Instead, they use drugs, fight, skip class, and use profanity and racial slurs. Bullying is brushed aside by admin, even in severe cases. Imagine your child in a classroom filled with marijuana fumes, where children are calling kids the n-word and cussing at teacher. Now imagine that the principal’s do not even care and let it happen. Some teachers hit and cuss at students, have inappropriate friendships with students, allow them to skip class or do drugs, and laugh about gangs, etc. Admin will not act. They will do anything to look good on paper, but this school does not care about your child’s wellbeing. This school is a danger to anyone who attends or works here.

This school is turning into a very good and exemplary school due to the hard working teachers/coordinators and especially the principal, Ms. Hernandez. She has coffee meetings with parents and she makes you comfortable in this school. I recommend Burbank Middle School a lot for everyone.

I am currently attending this campus and am completely dissatisfied. The students are wild and the teachers are incomprehensive with the exception of a few others.
