This school puts on the face of a sweet and compassionate place. Sadly, it’s not the case. My child has been bullied and told hurtful things. These students who have said these things have gotten little to no punishment. The teachers here are not the best, at all. There are many teachers whose teaching methods are not the best and many teachers who are extremely rude and seem to not care about their students. I would not recommend this school to anyone and urge parents to find somewhere else. This school has greatly disappointed me.

Both of my children attend this school. I am so thankful for the teachers and the administration. When enrolling my oldest child, my husband and I prayed for guidance as to which school to enroll him. I am so happy that we were lead to Houma Christian School! The curriculum is Christ centered, and the faculty is always willing to help if there is an issue. I could not be more satisfied with this school.

My son has been attending HCS for 2 years now due to numerous amounts of issues with the public schools of Terrebonne Parish. My prayers could not have been answered more effectively. He loves this school. We absolutely love this school. Both of our children will graduate from this school! This school has had an enormous impact on our son and on many other children. The faculty and staff are all human just as we are but they strive to be the best at what they do and this matters alot to us considering this spirit does not run throughout the parish. Unfortunaley, even as a sibling, his sister was not able to get in for the start of her education due to the amount of parents enrolling, which was saddening but assuring all at the same time. Hope this helps someone out:-)

I have a child at Houma Christian and have been overall pleased with the school. The students are challenged academically and encouraged to become active members in their communities. The Christian education provided is an added plus.

The school offers students a chance to find their way through middle school and high school with Christian values as a compass to life in a society that often is void of moral values when no one is looking. I question the school's ability to attract and retain quality educators due to low pay and no benefits. I pray that students are being challenged to reach their potential, espesially those who seek more knowledge than the curriculum offers. I also find my kids seem to lack the guidance of tolerance toward other religions. I write this knowing education, moral standards and fostering a desire to learn is my job, school is just a support mechanism .

I attended Houma Christian as a child and could not be more thankful for the love, guidance, and support that that teachers and staff gave. Growing up in a corrupt world like todays is not easy for a child at such a tender age, and parents cannot watch every move their children make. They can only teach them the best they can and pray that they follow thier guidance. I had a great upbringing, and Houma Christian School reinforced those good morals and values. Houma Christian helps to guide your child to have a closer relationship with Christ our savior and at the same time provide excellent academics that are sure to have your child college bound. I now have two children who attend Houma Christian and I would not have it any other way. I highly recomend this school!

This school has a great atmosphere, and has very high test scores. The classes are not very big,but unlike other schools there very clean,i went to leigon park,and i didnt even want to use the restroom,it was disgusting. At HCS you can basicly eat off te ground.Next, if you want your child to learn about Jesus Christ,HCS is your school!Finally, the teachers are very helpful and attentive.I totally recomend to send your child to Houma Christian School.

Like every school houma christian has there flaws, but keeping God first is what they do and the out come is always good. if you want your kid to learn about God, and to have teachers that really care about how your kid is doing not only in education but every other aspected of life then this is the place to bring them. =)
