the teachers are great and all, but the snow day calls SUCKS!!!!! so just sleep in on a day that it snows!

I think that Cawley is a great school. The teachers really care about the students. There are sone great programs available and the atmosphere is very positive.

This school is terrible. The bullying is extremely out of control and the teachers don't care to do anything about it. The students are disrespectful in class, and many of the teachers are happy to go along with it. Most middle schools allow a little freedom, but everyone has to carry around passes everywhere and there is no free time at all. The guidance counselors are not very helpful also. The popularity system is eerily reminiscent of a caste system, and students are quick to tell you where you place. The homework amount that is given for middle school is over the top. For example, in 7th grade, my friends and I had 4 tests a week, as well as extra homework. I don't even have that many tests in high school! I wish that this school had more helpful teachers and that they would acknowledge the many issues running rampant around the school. I also wish more students were willing to stand up for the other students who don't fit into the cookie cutter mold of Cawley Middle School.

Okay, I will be entering 8th grade at Cawley in the fall and I have already figured out how things really work at Cawley. Everything you do at Cawley is a popularity contest no doubt about it. Mr. Benson (our current principal) has made me feel as if anything I could possibly say could be bashed down to nothing. This saddens me based on how many great things there are to Cawley. The teachers are BEYOND BEYOND amazing. All Cornell Teachers being particular favorites. Cawley offers made opportunities such as taking a language, joining a Unified Sports team or other extra curriculars. Overall my time at Cawley has been quite fantastic. It has also been quite disappointing.

Cawley Middle School is a great school with many opportunities. My child goes to this school and is having an amazing time. The band of Cawley is especially outstanding. They have been A rating for 9 years in a row. Hopefully this year they will become A rating again.
