If you get lucky, you could get a great teacher. If you get unlucky, you could get stuck with a teacher who doesn’t even care about you as a person and is only focused on making money. I’ve had a horrible experience with teachers as well as bullying. This school doesn’t even care if you’re getting bullied.

I go to this school currently and it hasn't been as good I thought honestly. Some teachers are okay some aren't. Bathrooms are disgusting, Lots of bullying. Would not recommend the school as 1. Priority. It does have a good area though and sports.

Very bad and stressful. we talk to the principal but whatever spoke in the office stayed in the office.They never did anything about it..Such a waste of time.

Typical Manchester school. I think the lady who referred to it as a cattle drive and anything with a pulse gets on the honor roll was spot on. This is not a school, this is an immigrant babysitting service and a place for the kids whose parents are too poor to move out of town. Even the smartest of student here will be held back and stupified. Teachers are absolutely terrible - just a bunch of women for the most part who have husbands making enough money to support the family - just an extra bit of cash for them. 29 students on average per class. Most teachers barely understand their own subject matter. Strongly thinking it would be better for my daughter to just stay home all day than have to attend with the awful influences that abound at this school.

This school is a joke my child has been a star student all 3 years honor rolls letters from the mayor etc, She has been bullied since the middle of last year and the school has done nothing about it. She tried to speak up and was called a snitch she spent 6 months in therapy for this. She was suspended because after 4 months of being picked on she finally stuck up for herself and she was treated like the criminal,Apparently bullies are protected at this school and not the victim. My other child will not attend this school .

I've had four children go to Hillside over the past six years. It is the best Middle School in Manchester with a great principal and assistants. The PTO is amazing. Hillside has great community support. If you want a safe, well-run school with a dedicated staff then Hillside is the place for you!

Hillside Middle School parent support. The majority of teachers are incredible. Lacking is the superintendent, school board and mayor by not supporting curriculum and not investing in educational advancements.

Please be advised - The school does not know how to support victims of bullying. Mr. B. McCafferty suspended a student who was a victim. No stars for him.

hated it wish i did not have to subject my child to this place i attended 20 years ago and i can only imagine it is getting worse not better lets face it it is an inner city middle school and the crime rate is higher in the inner city so guess what the schools will have more problems than say one that is outside of the city like mclaughlin and i live in the inner city have all my life so im not a snob its just the facts its not every teacher not every student but it is the average for any school located in an inner city and hillside is smack in the middle unfortunatly
