This is an excellent school. They keep you informed, are family and community oriented. The before school tutoring program was one reason why my children thrived there. Besides having their own tutoring programs, they also partnered with the civic center across the street for tutoring, guitar lesson, and sewing classes. I would highly recommend Homosassa Elementary School.

I could not have asked for a better school to send my grandchildren to, and I would not change them from it. Unless absolutely necessary. It is the best school, I have ever seen. The care, and kindness they show to the students and parents is amazing. And not just that, but they teach the children, responsibility and character and the children seem to grow, into amazing students and children at home. And I give the teachers and staff at Homosassa Elementary a lot of credit, in the way the children grow. I would recommend this school, to anyone and everyone..

I am a former student of homosassa and now my son attends there. I live in lecanto and had him out of zoned just to go here. many of the teachers are the same as they were when i attended. ms. hicks is a loving and talented teacher who goes out of her way to help every student and the school is blessed to have her.
