Three years ago when my oldest started at RCE I would have said awesome. Now with the way I have seen my kids being treated and not helped to get over the bullying they are getting and stopping the bullying and making them feel like they are not smart, no one likes them.....not happy with this school at all.

I feel this school does have teachers that go above and beyond for most of the students. If your child does have any developmental delays or other disabilities they are targeted. Not all children get the same advantages as other students. I feel administration at the school is not the best that they could be and do not listen to parents thoughts and suggestions. If there is a problem they cover it up with each other. They do put on a wonderful show but behind closed doors it is a completely different situation. They are quick to kick out children that are not textbook normal and do not give helpful advise to parents.

Our son had just turned 5 when we enrolled him at a local private school with a great reputation. He was assigned to a 1yr teacher with no experience, skills, or personality to teach a little boy. We concluded this after meeting with her & other key members there. As suggested by some who knew our son, we had him tested (he displayed traits far advanced for his age). Our research led us to RCE & we ve been pleased with the nurturing & professional environment. Mrs. Cruz, ESE Specialist, guided us through the enrollment steps at this school which offers a gifted program. The Principal, Mrs. Johnson, answered my questions & gave me a tour. The admin staff was & remains courteous to this day. Our son was placed in Ms. Widener s kindergarten class and his demeanor changed. He is now happy & shares details of his day. She assesses his strengths & weaknesses & challenges him as needed. We ve seen a tremendous amount of growth in him as a boy & as a student. On the 3rd QTR, he was accepted into the gifted program & now attends Ms. Carpenter s class once a week. RCE provides a solid educational foundation for his different learning needs and instills him with a sense of belonging.

Because this school has alot of good faculty and the students love coming to this school. I have heard nothing but great things about this school and they should win the $20,000.
