The coaching staff is horrible for the soccer boys team. The way he treats these kids is disrespectful. Coming from a parent of a player in another school. Sad it has to come from us when this type of belittling happens. Good luck they deserve better

It's been almost three years since I left so I can't tell you if this is completely accurate to the current school's staffing and curriculum, but in my opinion, there were honestly very few good teachers I had during my years there. I got called lazy to my face by a science teacher I had despite the fact I got 80+ on almost every test in that class because I had trouble remaining focused due to ADHD, though this was on my 504. In 10th grade I had a mental break from stress, I scratched the skin off my hand and was bleeding during a testing block, and not a single teacher or any additional staff noticed, though there were numerous in the room. Please do better for your neuro-divergent and mentally ill students. The restrooms all routinely smelled like marijuana at least once per week, and some kids were pretty obviously high in class, while some teachers did deal with it, there were some who very clearly knew and did nothing. I can also recall a time in my first year when the weather was incredibly hot, and I believe there was an issue with the air conditioning, so the school gave out popsicles, but one was left to melt on the stairs and weeks had gone by with it not being cleaned up at all.My time there does predate Florida's House Bill 1557 (2022) as I left in 2021, but even in that period, a transgender classmate of mine was purposefully misnamed and had the wrong pronouns used almost every day by our Tech/Video Editing teacher at the time, despite being corrected by myself other classmates, including that person, every time.To end this on a positive note: two of my favorite teachers, whom I'm pretty sure both still work there, are Mrs. Ross for math and Mrs. Wright for reading, both of whom were incredibly kind to me despite my struggles with the material, and afforded many opportunities to me that I can't say I always deserved. Thank you both.

They are handling the pandemic professionally and responsibly. The school is taking all of the necessary precautions but not at the expense of the students mental well being. My senior is happy to be back and largely due to the staff keeping things as normal as possible.

By senior year, I couldn’t wait to leave. I am not the type to ditch school, but I could not stand the place by my 2nd year. I had some amazing teachers at this school who deserve to be paid more, but I felt like the school was lacking in the number of AP and Dual Enrollment courses offered. Graduation was a joke, they treated us like we were being punished and threatened to cancel the ceremony. Throughout my time at WWHS, the administration appeared lacking in motivation and leadership. Assistant principals were bored to death walking around the school all day looking for things to do. Going to this school was like novocaine for my soul.

I dont understand how such a new school has such low ratings on top of that how can this school drop so fast there are good teachers there but not one or two can make the whole school. Alot of fights this year which makes no sense heard one teacher in the office tell a senior girl student why didnt she eloped with her boyfriend i wanted to jump and scream

It's worrisome when you move to an entirely new area with a child entering 10th grade. In our case, we didn't need to.Both of my sons attend Weeki Wachee High and my eldest is set to graduate this year. The first year I heard constant ravings about how great the food was compared to the old school. Both have maintained perfect attendance and A/B averages. One is more interested in the arts and has been a part of the regular and marching band programs. He's befriended a great group of kids who support and look out for each other. The other son was more interested in technology and computers. He has loved his programming and video game design classes. The school is newer so the grounds, buildings, and technology is all new and up-to-date.I highly recommend this school!

This is a great school! Weeki Wachee High School has students feeling secure with their ZERO tolerance policy to making students feeling threatened, harassed, or bullied. The administration, the lunch faculty, and the teachers are all kind. One problem with the teachers are some have really easy/lazy classes due to mostly to the environment the teacher creates with his persona'.
