Coaching staff talks to parents with such disrespect

The deputy that works here is awful. He's constantly having kids Baker Acted and they're sent to mental health facilities for no reason at all and he gets CPS involved as well. He thinks he has the right to tell you how to parent your child. Kids are not allowed to be kids anymore. If they're even a little "different" than other kids then counselors get involved because they think the child has a "problem." I hope members of the administration, the deputy, as well as the board itself are one day served with a lawsuit and everyone loses their jobs. Children go to school to get an education, NOT to be psychologically evaluated by "experts" who don't know how to mind their own business.

The absolute worst high school imaginable. Being a student there actually feels like being in "Mean Girls" or some other comedy movie that portrays typical high school students with all of their worst traits accentuated. Students there suck and so does the staff. Neither of them seem to care.

This school is the worst school by far my child has attended. The only good thing is the ROTC program. If your child has special needs especially Asperger's, ADHD, Sensory, ETC. Then look some where else. They don't care nor follow the students IEP. They escalate the student rather than find a solution. They don't advocate for the child. They don't find solutions. The assistant principal for your child is never on campus nor the ESE dept. I have had to call the school board, CARD (center for Autism and related disorders), I have consulted a lawyer and have called, emailed and shown up at the school. this is so sad because the person who loses in all of this is my child. I find that most situations could be avoided, teachers are not educated about special needs therefore they make matters worse. They tell your child they can do something then write them up for that same thing. Again, if you have a child with special needs!!!!! I urge you NOT TO ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. All you will find here is frustration, stress, sadness, and a teenager depressed with low confidence about their capabilities that were not there before they arrived at this school!!!!!!

I'm a student at this school and I don't like it. I just came here as a new student from Virginia and I'm a rising senior. The student population to me I think, is just rude and unfriendly, it seems like you have to go out of your way just to get someone to become your friend. The school only cares about their ROTC program and nothing else, like Acting, Art, Band, Chorus, etc...the administration and teachers need to start encouraging students to do well...have regular meetings with the students to encourage them and make sure everybody is doing well...they need to step up their game! Education in the state of Florida is much different and easier than it is up north...this is why florida is low in test scores, etc.

There is a bullying problem at this school. Bullying distracts from learning. While the official stance is that bullying is not tolerated, the reality is that bullies are not dealt with, and the children who are bullied are scolded for allowing it to get to them. There are a huge number of students who are Baker Acted from this school, while students who are really in need of help go without it.

Seems relatively organized so far. Concerned that there may not be enough books for students.

New to the area new to the school district. Driving farther than the nearest high school due to some recent redistricting. The staff has been very welcoming and I have been pleasantly surprised by the manners of the student body. For such a large school the staff does a remarkably good job of personalizing their interaction with students and parent. So far very pleased!
