I have a first grader at TJ and we have had a great experience so far. He was there for Kindergarten and transitioned beautifully from private preschool. The staff is genuine and considerate and he is meeting/surpassing all expectations and requirements for his age. I would recommend TJ to anyone looking to move into an area with a truly tight-knit "community" type feel. It really feels like we've found our village here.

The quality of a school starts from the top down, and what I can tell you is that the Principal at TJ's main goal is the students. Mr. Sasso strives to make sure every student in the school is well taken care of, as well as, having the best educators. I have been happy with each and every teacher!

We've been very happy with our experience at TJ. Communication with the teachers has been great, the principal is great at getting back to us with answers to questions, and the staff is friendly and supportive. The PTA hosts fun events for the kids and sponsors activities that enhance learning. Our kids love school and in return, we love TJ!

The strength of TJ is great teachers and fantastic, caring, involved families! For these reasons the school has had a great reputation but in recent years it has dropped substantially. There are probably several reasons including district budget cuts but the two biggest contributors include principals who stay two years or less, and an ESL program that is not designed to succeed (thus making it attractive for principals to move on). However area families do a good job in spite of the circumstances.
