My son has been the victim in bullying & each time the principal is right on top of the problem, it has been very comforting knowing someone is there to help & pay attention.

QUEST is a multiage, International Baccalaureate school with high standards. People come from all over the country to see what they do with their program due to being an exemplar for other IB schools. The staff is passionate about ensuring each child's needs are met both academically and socially. It has a "family feel" due to its' smaller size. Due to the multiage setting, students at the higher grade levels are more empathetic to younger children and truly serve as mentors. They have many amazing traditions that each child will cherish for years to come. It is a very special school!

QUEST is a great school! It's mission has always been to be a 'best practices" school and the other elementary schools have been pushed to follow its lead. As an IB school it places more emphasis on a deeper rather than broader and more superficial understanding of the content. Coincidentally, this is exactly the same focus NYS is adopting with its Common Core Curriculum. Rather than teach to the test, QUEST focuses on understanding deeper common themes related to the subject matter. Contrary to pencil pushing, QUEST focuses on hands-on, experiential learning. It is a school of choice and if you value teaching children to think rather than regurgitate facts for the state test this is the school for you. Keep up the great work QUEST!
