This is an awful school my daughter was bullied and threatened that her brain was going to be bashed in. My daughter wanted to end her like and she was only 8 years old. The principal made promises to help and support my daughter and never did. She put a no contact order in that was broken daily and when I called in to get taken care of she did nothing. Then she kicked my daughter out of school due to being absent too much as she was in therapy and scared to be at school. The staff is miserable and it shows do not send your kids to this school.

My Daughters Overall experience was below satisfactory. The teachers I had met with don’t seem to want to be there any more than the students. A major indicator as a parent there’s a serious absence of administrations support on their daily demeanors, inevitably portraying on the students, Which is absolutely unacceptable and doesn’t make it OK or FAIR for our children. The Administration seems to show the most attention to what brings in the Funding; ADA, IEP’s etc.I’ve met with the principal, Dr. Lenertz on many occasions for many unfortunate events regarding a couple other kids putting hands on my daughter, the solutions brought up sounded great but unfortunately wasn’t implemented. Sadly, I had to correlate with the parents to see a resolution for my child’s well being, intervening on many occasions as well for the safety of my child. The secretary and other office staff also lack efficiency. I have been called on the phone quite a few times asking why my child wasn’t at school that day, when I walked her to the gate personally. Communication is terrible amongst the office staff, teachers and the principal, if you call in due to your child’s absence you’re more then likely not going to have it logged into Aeries and have to waste more time making sure they do their job.Lastly, the amount of Drop off and pick up traffic, I have seen more car accidents, staff, parents & children get nearly hit by a vehicle or actually have been hit walking across the street in the crosswalk at the school and on the Main Street and the school still does nothing other than originating that we the parents should call the local Sheriffs Department and file a report. The school school does still continues to not practice safety precautions or preventative measures for our children’s environment. How would I rate Arroyo Verde school: F-SafetyD-Curriculum F- Educational programs for Teachers often getting substitutes and children falling behind F- Student SupportF- Effective solutions F- Teacher Support F- parent Communication

Arroyo Verde is an excellent school! We moved to East Highlands to be a part of the Redlands School District and we have been very happy with the experience. I have been active as a volunteer at the school and have witnessed firsthand how the teachers and classified staff care for the students and want them to be successful.

When it comes to education and in particular its impact by race and equality, sadly, there is a lot lacking at this school! Don't you find it interesting that the scores in the race section for African-Americans are (the outliers) 2/10 while another race is 9/10? Something IS actually wrong. This school needs to work on things such as development of community among the students and staff to make it a happy place for ALL students. Elementary school should be filled with fun new experiences, encouragement, support, reasonable challenges, and learning in a way that fosters the love of education.

Between 1 and 10, with 10 being the highest, I give Arroyo Verde Elementary a 10.

Arroyo Verde is a fantastic Elementary School! We came from a small private school mid-way through the year and the students, staff and faculty went the extra mile to help my kids have a smooth transition. I love the extra programs and clubs offered to my kids and have been beyond pleased with the communication between the school, teachers and parents

Arroyo Verde was an excellent school. I only went there for 5th grade in the 2012-2013 school year, but I found that there was a different general personality from the staff and students. I came from a private school and I thought that everybody was going to be mean and dislikable. It turned out that there are very few bullies, fights, and mean teachers. The teaching curriculum is very well organized and the staff are very encouraging. The principle encourages students to be "College Bound" by having each class adopt a college. Arroyo has band and choir as extra curriculum activities and they are both very productive. Awards are always being given out for good behavior and being a College Bound student. The field trips are fun, exciting, and educational to all students. They also have G.A.T.E. (Gifted And Talented Education) for the over achievers and the smarter students. I'd recommend Arroyo Verde to all children who are looking for a challenge and some fun.

My son used to go to another California distinguished school in San Diego county and I was uneasy about moving him out to the Inland Empire area. This school has made me more comfortable. I am grateful we found Arroyo Verde! Principal is very efficient and manages her school well. They have a lot school events and involve the parents as well. This school has been a blessing and because of Arroyo Verde my son IS COLLEGE BOUND! :)

My children started going to this school last year and i was very happy with the way the school was running. This year is very different. Mrs Sherman the principal has left and now there is a new principal. The teachers are still as great as ever. Wish i could say the same for the new principal. When my 9 year old daughter is saying that she doesnt like "the new things that are happening" that is saying something. I would loooove to have principal sherman back.....would looove it!!!
