This school is terrible. I went here for a while and it was AWFUL. There was constant sexual harassment, assault, etc. The staff does not take the kid’s mental health seriously, and they use excuses like “it was he said she said” to not properly discipline bullies in the school.The teachers are super opinionated and push it on the kids all the time. Some teachers can be super nice but most were problematic, opinionated, and took their anger out on the kids. I had constantly reached out for the help I needed to MANY staff members, and not one of them had gotten back to me about the help I needed. The principles keep changing and they don’t have stable staff. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE! This school causes so much unnecessary trauma and suffering for your child, especially if they are a minority.

i am very active in my grandson's life and just like another review.... i have to agree that the kids have no respect for one another and are bullies. My grandson is a non-confrontational student and has been harrassed, but when brought to the attention of the office nothing was done. The following day my granson was suspended for sticking up for himself. He also is a straight A student, I also do not think this school challenges him. I do not feel like he is learning anything. He never has homework.

My child has been bullied and harassed incessantly since starting in August. She’s a very kind, straight A, honor student who had never been bullied or had issues with any students before Ranchero. People have threatened physical harm, harassed her for a birthmark, her clothes, and even her last name. It’s to the point it’s affecting her mental health and we need to change schools. The education is terrible to top it. She’s a GATE student and they do not care, nor accommodate it. There are constant physical fights on campus requiring school police. They staff is too busy for handling parent concerns and communication is abysmal. I would not recommend sending your child here.

Okay so I'm a student here and one of my classmates forgot to do one assignment for one of our classes (after he has been out of school for like a month in the doctors... So he probably doesn't even know how to do the assignment...) and our teacher punished him by giving him a two day in school suspension. I think that was way too harsh for not doing an assignment honestly... The teachers are just mean and overuse their "power". Besides the teachers, the students are bullies. If you walk by you will hear kids yelling at other kids that they are "gay" or "stupid" and there is way too much profanity and inappropriate behavior ... There is a lot of PDA and it's disgusting especially because students her are only around 12-14 years old. I myself would like to leave this school and go to another one or at least even get homeschooled because of all of this drama here, but I am too afraid to talk to my mom about it... So I just have to suck it up and deal with it... If your a parent deciding if you want to send your kid here... Don't do it, or at least think about it more.

This school bullies the bullied. My son was harassed by the students and staff. When it was reported that a student was bringing drugs on campus nothing was done to him. We also had proof that he brought it on school campus. Then my child's friend was accused of something by the children that were harassing/bulling him. With no proof at all my son was question and searched for knowing the student. I myself watched as the Vice Principal bullied my son so my child would give him(Vice Principal) the response he wanted. I would not recommend this school to anyone. My son was pulled out on independent study and my sons work was turned in by his dad. The work was never given to the teachers. It was lost. The teachers did not notify me at anytime that my son was getting a bad grade in their class. I had emailed them several times with my phone number to contact me with any problems and they never have. This school is very unorganized and very unprofessional. My students right were violated and he was harassed by the teachers that were supposed to be protecting him.

If you want your child bullied and made fun of bring them here this school's staff does nothing to help your child in self confidence your child will be harassed about there appearance I dont recommend this school to nobody

The office called to complain about my son making a mess even sent him to detention that entire day. Low and behold they punished the wrong student! No apology or compassion. Getting a straight answer is almost impossible. My kid was bullied to the point of tears with no relief. They never saw the constant teasing as a problem.
