When you first start off the school seems ok. Till you learn of all the lies and cover up to keep the school’s reputation clean. I don’t agree with some of the things I have found out. But other than that the learning is pretty average.

We are in our thirds year at this school and we love it so much. After the pandemic, we switched to HCS from a local public school and it was the best decision we could have ever made for our kids! They are absolutely thriving, have made wonderful friendships, and adore their teachers! Most of the teachers we have encountered are super fair about homework, which has helped so much as my kids have a lot of after school activities. I love the faith-based atmosphere and how kind everyone is. It really is a magical thing when every teacher who walks by your kid knows their name; they are not just a number here at this school and are always treated with respect.

I hate this school. I’ve been going to this school all of my life and it’s gotten worse and worse over the years. They are bad at teaching (especially mathematics) and expect you to learn everything on your own, and they do not help you on things you don’t understand. My Pe teacher watches me change in the locker room and refuses to stop if you ask them, and then she proceeds to get mad at you if you are uncomfortable with her watching you. My mental health has been dropping ever since they started to change the way things worked there. They do not care if you’re sad or if you’re going through something, they only care if they get their money. I do NOT recommend this school!!!

Need more academic support options for children who are struggling or want extra help and activities such as clubs, band, tutoring, for all grade levels. Class sizes are too large for optimal private school instruction especially considering many teachers are new. I would still recommend it for the benefits of a Christian education, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

My son has been going here for 2 years. So far so good! He’s starting 3rd grade next year. This school has been a phenomenal blessing to our family. Teachers are amazing and kind. The principle is a nice guy. The staff love their job and you can tell. It’s a community of people who want the best for each kid and that really shows. Eduction is a priority. They actually teach cursive, which is awesome! Less tech, but by no means behind. Some things are dated but the school has consistently worked around it. The director and staff are doing an amazing job. My son loves going to school and hasn’t complained about anything. They had a field trip recently to a dairy farm! :) activities are plentiful.

My experience with this school has been incredible, we have had all 3 of our boys there.

This is an awesome school. They do a great job at providing a safe and caring environment for all students. The athletics are above average for a small school. Most graduates continue their education at University. A majority are attending top level colleges such as UCLA, Vangard, Grand Canyon University, Sac State, Biola, CBU, UC Riverside, and the list goes on. I have had 2 kids graduate from HCS. Both were 3 sport athletes and graduated with honors. Putting my kids at HCS was one of the best decisions I've ever made for them.

They're very strict when I went there, the rules are dumb. You can't have your phone out during lunch or break.

I went to this school from 3rd-12th grade. I loved every minute of it. Went on to attend a top tier college in San Diego with a degree in business. Now make 6 figures and I give a lot of credit to HCS for giving me the tools of life. I'd send my kids here if I still lived in the area. My brother also attended this school and took a similar path to college. We both scored well on our SAT scores at the time. My parents sent me to HCS after a local elementary school had me reading two grades below where I should have been. Yikes... I'm very thankful they made the move.

My daughter graduated from Hesperia Christian and had no trouble getting into a state university. I know many of the staff and administration personally and know there heart is in the right place and they love the kids. Could the school be better? Yes with stricter enforcement of the rules and lower tuition. Every school has problems but I have no regrets sending my child here.

Do your research, see how many teachers have their California teaching credentials. (They aren't required because it's private), then see how many teachers are family related to staff. I would like to publicly see the State Test Scores if any... again they don't have to report them. Ask questions before you enroll.

I rate this school a 5. I was able to attend HCS in 9th grade before having to transfer to a local public high school due to financial hardship my parents encountered. That one year at HCS helped me to develop great study habits, and the quality of education there was superior to that of the public high school. The smaller classes at HCS enabled the students to forge a close-knit friendship with one another, and the faith-based program of study taught -- among other valuable things -- compassion and acceptance of everyone. I really enjoyed my time at HCS and am sorry I was not able to finish out my high school education there; although, my experience at HCS enabled me to graduate a year early from the public high school. Last year, my husband and I enrolled our daughter at HCS for preschool. She is in Kindergarten this year, and we couldn't be more pleased with her education and progress. People are amazed at how much she knows for her age. The teachers at HCS are a true blessing, and the parental involvement is wonderful. We plan on keeping our daughter at HCS until she graduates from high school. Maybe someday our grandchildren will attend HCS as well. GREAT SCHOOL & STAFF

For $500 a month I expect more from this school. The teachers have this psychiatrist that they will make you send your child to (for a fee) if he/she has a little trouble grasping information, or if they can't look you in the face when spoken to, or stay interested enough to not yawn during class, or sit still,etc.etc. This is their answer to cover themselves for inadequate teaching. The lower grades are good but the kids and parents in the upper grades are nothing but drama. The kids are the same 10 or so kids since K, or 1st grade, so the kids don't attain any social skills that are necessary to succeed in today's job force. No resources for university prep, and extracurricular activities like the local High School has. I have had both my kids here since pre school, not sure I want to stay another year.
