Former substitute here. This school had some of the worst behavior problems I've ever seen. I've worked with several districts and countless schools and grade levels, and this school was one of the worst managed institutions I've worked with. Classrooms were so dirty that students had their paperwork stuck to the desks because neither the teachers nor the custodians bothered to make sure students had clean desks. Totally disgusting. No one should send their child here. Diamond Valley and Dartmouth are BY FAR better choices.

This is the second year my child has been going to this school. We moved from another area and was hesitant to start a new school and make new friends. So far he has done well and his grades are great. He enjoys school and has made good friends. He tells us of things going on and we seem to have a good communication. He looks forward to going to school and I think that is a good sign. The principal is a few years new but is very optimistic. I think given the demographic of the area this school is going in the right direction and getting better every year.

My daughter has been going to this school for 2 years. The administration is a bunch of liars and the teachers are not even teaching the kids as they should. They let the other children in the class help each other instead of the teacher because they are too busy... The (API) is horrible for this school. The quality of teaching is just awful as is the curriculum for the school. The bullying and language of most of these kids are disgraceful. The teachers need a timeout and need to go back to school for their attitudes as well. My daughter got slapped from a boy during passing period and it took the school 3 days to remove him from her class and suspend him (for only 5 days). Then when he returned, the school put him back in her class again. How stupid is the school. It took me another 2 days to get him removed again. Then they put him in her lunch period and pe class. He eventually got expelled from the school after being suspended several times during the year!

Great Schools!! Nothing could be further from the truth! My daughter has attended this school for the past two years and the issues with this school have gotten progressively worse. But due to the ridiculous school district boundary, transferring her to a better school closer to where we live has been difficult. The students at this school use old severely damaged text books that they are not allowed to take home, and there are a few teachers on staff with terrible attitudes. Bullying is an issue at this school, not just with children but teachers as well. The API is so low for this school, the school district offers to transfer the student to any other school with an appropriate API within the same district....but the district itself has big issues. I would not recommend this school to anyone who cares about their child's education.

This school has an amazing staff and students! The staff works really hard to support students from the toughest parts of the district. I've been to some of the community events that they offer they are great. It's too bad only the negative parents take the time to write "reviews".... Oops, I mean complaints. Good people and a great school!

I would not even recommend this school to someone I hate. If the students overall are below the American Performance Index (API), then this should tell you something about the school's infrastructure. My son has declined since being there...Looking for another school. My other son will not being going there in Fall of 2014. Teachers are inpatient to the students and the assistant principal is an extremely poor leader. The staff are a group of people collecting a check. STAY AWAY FROM...

This is a horrible school my daughter started having issues immediately after starting she was an avid student prior to going to this school. She was bullied and jumped by other students pushed her to the point of wanting to commit suicide she when to school counselor and to talk about it they admitted her to a mental institution didn't even call her mom or myself at 4:30 in the afternoon she didn't come home so we made a missing persons report and the police told us where she was they have all of our numbers on the emergency contact list and called no one on list do not let your children go here we are seeking leagle assistance for the negligence on the schools behalf

There have been several changes in the last few years. Last year we were awarded recognition as an AVID demonstration school. This year our AP was promoted to Principal, he has implemented several behavioral, academic, and social protocols and incentives for students. Our focus this year is to create a sense of belonging, care, and support for students and staff...our motto...WE ARE FAMILY!

Hello parents, I am about to put my son in middle school (2014) and I was wondering if there is anyone that can give me updated information on this middle school? The last review was in 2010. Has anything changed since then? What do you think about the school and would you recommend it to a friend? Thank you ahead of time. A concerned mom
