Some teachers are okay most of them dislike being here. There is not much talk about college and career paths. Some kid also blew up the toilet with a firecracker.

I didn't have a particularly harrowing experience but I could see numerous concerning flaws. One event that stood out is when some kids left their trays at the tables near the guidance councilors office (since there wasn't enough room in the cafeteria) one of the aids thought it would be a good idea to teach them a lesson by not letting anyone sit over there for the lunch period. There wasn't enough room for everyone in the lunch room, so kids were sitting on the tables, sitting and eating on the floor, and some tried to sit on the stairs but it was considered a "fire hazard." One of the guidance councilors finally came out and opened the area and was furious that had happened, all the while the aid watched the entrance of the cafeteria smugly as hoards of kids tried to find a place to eat their lunch in the half hour block granted.

This school needs help. One of my children graduated last year and was not accepted into any of his three top choices, even though he was an "A" student here. He wasn't applying to Ivy League schools. Just normal State schools. Apparently, this school has a bad reputation in the college circuit. The parents are the worst. No one attends the band concerts, etc. It's really sad and makes me feel bad for the kids. My other student will not finish at this school - he is going to a nearby Catholic school this Fall. I wish I had realized this and had been able to do that for my older student.
