This is one of the best experiences I've ever had in my teaching career. The administrators genuinely care about the staff's mental, physical, and emotional health. The students are excited to learn. The PTA is amazing and super supportive of the teachers. The community at the school is wonderful. Other teachers are there to help and rely on. Each of the teachers in the school sees all the students as their responsibility not just the ones in their class. The school works really hard to help provide necessary instructional and behavior supports as needed. I am sad to be moving and leaving this wonderful school.

There are great resource teachers here! We loved the art teacher and a few other teachers are wonderful. However, this school is horrible, there is a 4th grade teacher here “Mac” who is literally awful. She Will tell the entire class your kids on medication for anxiety, talk down to them, yell constantly, degrade the kids, and just can’t emotionally regulate herself. I ended up pulling my child from her class mid way due to her giving him so much anxiety. We had so many situations at this school and multiple times kids weren’t held accountable. My kindergartener had a kid put his hands down her pants, try to touch her, pushed her down on the playground and try to kiss her. Nothing ever happened and my 5 year old had to deal with it on her own. This may be considered the better school in Hampton, but if you can you need to keep your kids out of this school. They will be exposed to so much here.

My Son went to school there , unfortunately had a very bad experience. One of the teachers there had told me in front of my Son that , “ HE WAS NEVER GOING TO AMOUNT TO ANYTHING”” as she looked down at the top of his head .I should have reported her to the Principal but he too was not worth the time.I would mention the teachers name but , she is not worth mentioning. She I am sure has had to think about that at some point in time , but I doubt it. My Son is doing well now , I am so happy we left that school.

Not the school it once was..The principal is not up to management of teachers. Some teachers can be heard screaming through the walls, running into another room while teachers are in middle of lesson. Also, the library is very loud a teacher told me( anonymous). That's unacceptable as well as SOL scores falling. I noticed while there as an aide, before becoming a teacher, there would be "busy body " teachers, walking around with the principal and looking for petty things. I could not really understand what they were up to..It was strange

2023 the school has fallen swiftly due to the principal. The pods and k-2 halls are total chaos will kids wander outside to soccer field. This was a great school several years ago.

Had great teachers that genuinely care about their students. The students were respectful to adults.
