Both of my kids have been attending to this school since Pre-k and one is now in 5th grade and the other is in 2nd and I'll have my youngest start Pre-k next year. I LOVE LOVE the teachers & staff.

I have volunteered extensively at JRE and find that the school administration and teachers strive very hard to creat a stable learning environment for all kids at all learning levels. It is in a lower income area but that is not a negative for Jackson Road and its students; they get the best possible education through the facilities, technology and people who work tirelessly for it's students!!

Love this school! My son attended PreK-5 and now my daughter is there. I couldn't ask for a better school! The teachers work hard to make the lessons fun, meaningful, and memorable!

Jackson Road faculty and staff always try their best to meet the needs of all students. They encourage students to reach their full potential and are always seeking ways to make learning fun and relevant to each student.

Great school . I think if more parents would get involved they would see that the teachers and staff really care about everyone .

Put my daughter here after an even worse experience at Atkinson Elementary. After another week I realized I might be able to move out of the Griffin school district. Another 2 weeks and we were gone. Parents who have older children say the school administrators have become WAY worse lately in Griffin.

I think this school is great! I love how excited my kid is to go to school. I asobappreciate the contact the teacher has with the parents. It is fantastic!

New principal talks entirely to much. She called about my child and had me on the phone for almost two hours. She wouldn't allow me to get a word in during the conversation

The Principal trots around in her short skirts (that she should not be wearing) and acts like she is the best thing around. She talks about people behind their back if they don't kiss the ground she walks on. All the good teachers are slowly leaving and everyone knows why. This school has went DOWN hill since the new Principal came. She needs to do her job and stop trying to show face all the time. Now she has changed yet another thing. First no fall festival and now Grandparents day. Lay down the power trip and get more appropriate clothing!

There are a handful of really great teachers at this school, that really care about the kids. All the rest scream at them and make them have silent lunch and sit out of recess even if they didn't do anything wrong but some kids in the class got in trouble. My child's teacher has made the comment that they should have silent lunch the rest of the week because it was so nice and quiet. They get NO social time and then they want to take away the one chance they get. I understand school is about learning, but they can't talk in carpool, can't talk before school in the gym, can't talk at breakfast and can't talk at lunch half the time. I agree with the last post about the school changing. This year has been totally different from last year. Slowly but surely we are getting pushed out of this school. Also if you go to pick your child up near dismissal time be prepared to be denied your child. That is unless you are "special". I have been told I have to wait until busses are dismissed. Makes NO sense. They should never deny anyone their child, we were late for an appointment because we had to wait 15 minutes. The rules are different for different people.

This used to be a great school. Things started changing towards the end of last year and this year it is just awful. I know some change can be good, but parents don't feel welcome here anymore and their requests are not being met which is something the school has always done since my kids have attended. I am sad to say that I don't recommend it anymore. We still have 2 more years there, hope they go fast. I am considering private school.
