This is my daughter’s second year and we both love it!! The teachers have made it possible for her to gain a sense of independence and belonging ,while making the curriculum fun for them. It has a small school feel but with big results.

Being a small school, Elmhurst has really been able to support my children and their individual growth. They have been able to take advantage of some awesome opportunities with a caring, committed staff. Elmhurst is a true 'community school' and has a strong, caring, supportive and involved community of parents who are fully vested in the building.

This is overall a good School. I have seen comments that low income Students do not do well with testing. Well, don't blame the teacher!! The Teacher's do their best. Education starts at home and also needs to continue at home. If Parents do not involve themselves with their children and school work then they should not expect a good testing score.

I highly recommend Elmhurst Elementary School. Lots of opportunity for parent involvement and the staff are great. Everyone is very friendly and every teacher we've had was always very available for communication. I'm not sure what problems people refer to with open enrollment, I didn't notice much of a change.

Elmhurst has been through many changes due to redistricting, however the teachers and administrators are excellent and my children continue to have great experiences there. Parents remain very involved and the principal is an advocate for all her children.
