We love GMS. This place has definitely turned the corner for the better.

Third middle school as parent. GMS far exceeds others. Engaged caring staff. Kind student body.

I cannot wait to leave this school.Engaging with this school administration is a lesson in gaslighting and lil service.Do not expect to have communication. Do not expect to be welcomed as a parent or given opportunities to be involved. Do not expect interaction. Do not expect information. Do not expect the phone to be answered. This district views parents as a burden to be dealt with and not as partners. While I think the majority of teachers are doing their very best and are skilled, interested in their students and subjects, the bottom-line is they are underfunded, stretched thin and underpaid despite the highest possible taxes, and are not supported adequately by the administration. My child started at this school as an excited child and is now an embittered, anxiety ridden kid who can’t stand any extra stimulation like noise or basic directions because they are so burnt out by the environment.Do not expect to change minds or hearts or have a sounding board for new ideas or anything remotely progressive.Their response to any of your issues is that they do not share your perception. If you like being stuck in a bog with no way out our forward then this is the school for you.

Kids see. To be falling behind and I believe some teachers lack passion!

It's only day three for my fourth grader and I'm seriously considering taking her out of this school. The first thing I noticed about this school is that it was over 90 degrees inside during the open house. The first day of school it was even worse. Today is day three and my child begged me not to send her to school because it's so hot. There are no fans or air conditioning. Surely, they're working on something to accommodate cooler conditions for the students and staff? I've called both principals three times, the nurse once and the front desk leaving messages every time. No one has returned my calls. Perhaps it's time to seriously consider Home Schooling.

As a pupil here from 2010-2013 I absolutely love the teachers that I've had! The school is not the best. I do not like the meals that are served. The ELT program is awful. The upper classes aren't the best behaved students. The school also does not have the best handle on bullying. Special education students do not have the best options, either.

In general, this school is average...not the best, not the worst. The best thing about it is the selection of interesting and enriching ELT (extended learning time) choices it offers. The worst thing is, there is not a lot of parent-teacher interaction that I have seen. The school feels like a fortress that parents are just not welcome at. You want your child safe in school, of course...but this goes beyond that. It's almost like" what happens here, stays here."

Greenfield Middle School has an outstanding supportive staff committed to the success of all students. GMS has Responsive Classrooms, two year looping programs, extended learning time which allows every student to participate in enrichment programs such as Tae Kwon Doe, African Drumming, Woodshop, Band, Community Service Projects, Sculpture, Dance, Rock Band, Theater, Film Production, and Lego Robotics. My children enjoy GMS and I hope the High School is as responsive to my children.

Very poor quality teaching of the most important basics and they try to cover this up with loads of 'enrichments' that they let anyone teach. We need to get into a good college. There is an attitude of 'good enough for greenfield'. We need excellence.
