We have one child at Frederick school. We have been very happy with the quality of education. Our child's teacher is very skilled at teaching, and they use a subject specialization model so that our child has a specific teacher for math, science, social studies, etc. It helps get them ready for junior high and high school. I like the regular communication through the Infinite Portal and through weekly emails. They give parents plenty of ways to be involved. My only real complaint is that there appears to be a lot of bullying at the school. I don't hear a lot about what is being done to make the school more welcoming to all students.

I’m sorry, I do not recommend this school. It’s not completely terrible, but a lot of it is. Some students have discriminated other students by calling them racial slurs, without any punishment, and the teachers here do not take in accountability that some students have - not necessarily learning disabilities, but disabilities that don’t allow them to focus during class as expected by the teachers, and are wrongfully punished for it. Some students genuinely have mental disabilities and are exaggeratedly punished for becoming overwhelmed, or not being able to pay attention. It’s aggravating to see and hear about it, and it needs to stop. This may not be the case, but the principals really only seem to care about themselves, and about the students that respect them. In my opinion, respect should be earned, not by being a teacher or principal. Just because my student is in your classroom, doesn’t mean they have to treat you like a king. Kids at the school are being discriminated against because of being a different race, or being apart of the lgbtq+, and the principal and assistant principal are only worried about social media accounts online talking about teachers, further proving that they are only worried about themselves and not the well-being of the students. I’m not saying the whole Frederick staff is bad, it just might be the majority. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Positive generally but with some puzzling deficiencies.

I believe that Frederick has greatly improved since last year. Although there is still bullying going on, I think that the reason is people are afraid to stand up for themselves and others. Today on my bus our bus driver was told by a girl that someone on the bus was being bullied. The princabal came onto the bus took the boys off if it talked to them, and they weren't very happy on the bus ride home! I am very happy with my experience here. P.S teachers aren't mean, the put up with you everyday, don't they?

I was formally a student there and it was not a good very school, especially if you are a child with disabilities. When I was there they weren't willing to provide the services I needed. In addition, they just pass students on. Also, I use to get bullied a lot, as did many of the kids that attended that school.and the school does nothing about this issue. You can ask many former and probably current students this. If you move to this area and into this school district and have a child with any form of disability my recommendation is homeschool or put them into a private school that provides high quality special needs services. The ways this school can improve in my opinion(I attended there 10 years ago for fifth grade so I don't know if they have improved since then.) is instead on focusing on building more stuff focus on having higher quality of education and have a better zero bullying tolerance policy.
