My kid had the worst school experience in that place. It has good teachers, but one of them (the one that gave him classes every day) was very, very xenophobic. I thought I was leaving my kid in a safe place, where xenophobia would not happen (considering it is a religious environment), but it was completely the opposite. Some kids are xenophobic too. In our country, my son used to come back home with a big smile on his face. When I was picking him up at Holy Trinity I never knew what I would wait for. One day a teacher mistreating him, another day a kid mistreating him…and more than one day I had my kid crying inside the car. Every time I remember what we passed during his period at that school, I cry. I feel guilty for causing such trauma in my kid. Thank God we found the perfect school for him, the one that he goes and comes back everyday with a big smile on his face, where he was welcome since the first day. He is listened, respected, understood, and can be himself again. If you are an immigrant, and your company can afford to pay a private school, don’t put your kid in that place. Public schools are more used and prepared to receive a foreign student. This place, for sure, no.

Our experience with this school is discrimination. Our hearts are torn by they way we have been treated here.

My family has been at Holy Trinity for the last 6 years with 3 children making their way through the grades. We have been very happy with our experience there! Moreover, although quite content with the quality of education, we have a new principal this year, 2021-22, who has announced several upgrades to our school which will now emphasize a classical curriculum. So our school just keeps getting better! My youngest is super excited to be able to start learning Latin next year and they are all looking forward to the school's new 4H program. There are so many great community building activities outside the normal school routine, it is easy to feel like we are part of a large extended family at Holy Trinity!

My husband and I were looking for a Catholic school in the area and we were blessed to have found Holy Trinity. Our children’s faith is being reinforced in the classroom, with some amazing teachers. I am confident my children are getting a disciplined and nurturing learning experience. There are many ways to get involved in the school community through parent groups, clubs, events and prayer.

The school was a positive environment and we really enjoyed our time at the school before our child got to middle school. The middle school culture cultivated by the teachers is an absolute nightmare. As mentioned before, most of the really good teachers in the elementary school have since left. However a couple remain - Phifer, Neis, Rivera, Wolgamot. The schools needs a stronger, more experienced principal than the current one and much heavier oversight from the parishes.

Rigid, inflexible environment. There is no GT or advanced curriculum; all students are taught at the same level, which means...teachers are teaching to the middle. Advanced students and students needing extra support are better off at the area public schools. There is also no social/emotional teaching, which has led to an environment of bullying and cruelty. It ain't your kid; it's the school.

Overall, the attitude towards parents is don't ask questions. The after school care uses other students to help supervise children, but they are not subject to the same “Safe and Sacred” training as the adults and the use of other students is not advertised to the parents relying on that care. The uniform requirements are cumbersome (there are 3 different outfits during the week) and the fees when compared to other schools in the area are high. The school uses RenWeb, which would have the potential to be a great tool, but the teachers often took weeks to input grades into it and by then it was too late to help our child. If a comment came home on behavior, there wasn’t enough detail for us to be able to talk to our child to reinforce whatever the alleged infraction was. When we asked, we were made to feel like we were bothering the teacher. One time we actually got a report back that he took too long in the bathroom and I refuse to punish a child for that. There could have been a medical reason behind it, but the assumption was always misbehavior. Science and social studies are really lacking in the younger grades. If you work outside the home, there is a bias towards families that have one parent staying at home. Mandatory "volunteer" hours are usually during the work week.

Alumni here. Heavily bias views taught. Instead of being shown both sides of an argument, school focuses on the more conservative side. Had one peer was bullied and staff did nothing. Not exactly a “Catholic” if you ask me.

My child has done well academically. The principal has not done well with the challenges the school / teacher faces and seems to reap the fact he has some sort of power. We won’t be back next year unfortunately.

We love HTCS! We have been very pleased with the quality of the education, the teacher support and communication and the administration while at the school. We have a wonderful community to raise our children and educating them in the Catholic tradition has been a blessing.

After being in the school for 6 years, I must say that it has helped our son grow from a child to a young man and although we are leaving I have no bad words for the school. The teachers are excellent and helped our son throughout his formative years. I only wish them the best in all that they do and with all the changes that are coming this next school year. I would still recommend the school to any future parents

After almost 5 years at the school, we are leaving. I have watched it go from an exemplary school, down to a political, bully-ridden, unacceptable example of private Christian school. There are some amazing teachers who would do anything for the kids, and I am sad to leave them. But then there is an administrator, hired to do fundraising, who is taking over. She is pushing out anyone who stands up against her and bringing in her friends from near and far. Then you have cliques of parents who teach their children to make cliques of their own. You're either in (rich, white, popular) or you're OUT.And if a child bullies your child, "there's nothing we can do" --- unless, of course, you give a bunch of money or you belong to the popular crowd. Then they will help...The kids go to Mass each Wednesday, but are allowed to behave like absolute heathens with no consequence for their actions throughout the rest of the week.In this school year alone, we knew a boy who was choked on the throat by another child at at aftercare; then another boy sat in the front row at talent show and took videos of the kids while making fun of them. Neither of these lead to a major punishment for the misbehaving children! This school will only change for the better when the toxic administration is removed and replaced with people who are more concerned with religion than money.

If your child is average, this is the school for you. If your child is advanced or struggles in the slightest there is nothing here for them. If you are concerned about your child being bullied by classmates, fear not! There are teachers here who are FAR more cruel than any mean-spirited child you may encounter. Unfortunately the worst of them doubles as the assistant principal, so you will have no recourse. A revolving door of principals (five in eight years) has done nothing to improve the situation. The last "nationwide' searches netted an unqualified internal promotion and an assistant principal all the way from Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth.Think it will all be worth it because your student will be enveloped in a nurturing, Catholic/Christian environment? Think again! During one of our last conferences with school leadership, I mentioned that I expected more Christian-like behavior from students and teachers at a Catholic school. I was informed that HTCS is "more of a prep school than a Catholic school." Preparation for what? I don't know. After we left, I honestly prayed that things might improve for the families foolish enough to stick around, but phone calls, texts and emails i have received in the last few weeks from friends have ensured me that is not the case.We are now happily enrolled at another area Christian school where my kids are thriving. My only regrets are the eight years of hell I put my boys through in blind pursuit of a "Catholic" education. We should have left years ago. RUN, don't walk, in another direction!

Although there are a few dedicated teachers that we have encountered, overall the frequent principal turnover and the low quality of some of its teachers explain why tuition at this school is so cheap. Also, potential families should consider where their children will go when they age out of Holy Trinity. The closest Catholic high school is in Fort Worth, 45 minute minutes away from HTCS. My family is actively searching for another private school.

This is a great school if you live in the area. However, it's just ok.

As an educator and parent I highly recommend Holy Trinity Catholic to any family who is looking to educate their child in a nurturing environment with high standards. All students are provided a curriculum that is at or above grade level, which encourages community service, public speaking and leadership opportunities.

Our family has been going to HTCS for 5 years. We love it. When we first came, everyone was so welcoming and the teachers were so nice to us. Sure, every once in a while the kids will meet a rude or mean kid here. Every school has those people. But luckily, they haven't met many. The teachers really help them when they don't understand something. The academic program is great. We talk to other people from other schools and they haven't learned most of the things they've learned yet. Going to a catholic, I believe will help them later in life. This school has always taught them how to keep their faith strong. But yes, it is true the principal left in October. But that doesn't mean our school is bad. The principal did leave unexpectedly. So it's not our fault really. I think we've done good with the adjustment. And I saw some of the comments, and yes we are a blue ribbon school. Just because we aren't awarded as a blue ribbon school, does not mean it's not blue ribbon anymore. HTCS was awarded the award in 2003. Overall, the school is a very good school for any child.

From a first year parent-after several years at Montesorri & Spanish immersion schools: - academic rigor? Our 1st grader is doing the same academics as a neighbor's 2nd grader at a local exemplary public school. Other friends complain about their kids being bored at another local exemplary public elementary school. HTCS seems committed to rigorous academics. - class size vs public schools? With more disciplined classrooms our daughter gets a lot of individual attention, personal touches, and has developed close relationships with her teachers. - Catholic identity? When our daughter comes home singing church songs, wants to pray the rosary and asks questions such as "why does the Holy Spirit have flames" we can see her faith becoming an integral part of her life. - extra-curricular activities? There are more than enough and we often have to choose from several a week. We had heard about the community bonding with other families/kids who have similar values and have now experienced it first hand. -cost? We might not be able to save as much for college, but we think the strong educational and spiritual foundation she is receiving will pay more dividends. Happy with HCTS? Extremely

The true shining stars of this school are its teachers and students. We have been pleased with the overall quality of HTCS, despite the recent changes. Every school in the area, private or public, has gone through such changes. So far, HTCS has not disappointed in how it handled those changes, and has remained focused, amid all the "noise," on providing a compassionate, balanced, and academically challenging Catholic education. The majority of the teachers treat students with dignity and love, and encourage them to do their very best. The curriculum is accelerated, especially in the new math, science, phonics and social studies. The art and music programs are top notch, kids having opportunities to perform in a band or choir at elementary level. The kind and creative art teacher reminds our kids to pay attention to the beauty of fine arts every week. The lower grade Spanish curriculum could use an update - more hands-on activities involving the Spanish speaking world, not just our southern neighbor. And the P.E. program could be more athletic and competitive. But overall, a strong Catholic school and a superior academic option to the local public schools.

Holy Trinity is the only Catholic School that makes me feel welcome every time I have a question. They always seem to find the time to talk to me and to find the answers for me. I think they are an excellent school.
