We were very intentional in looking for an area with enough diversity so that our Black children did not have to be exposed to some of the ugliness that this world has to offer. However, we didn’t want to sacrifice the quality of the education that they would receive. Though the Grandview School district does not seem to have the best reputation within the greater KC area it has proven to be a hidden gem. Our youngest child is currently enrolled at Meadowmere Elementary. Our oldest completed 5th grade at the same school last year. They have both thrived there to the point that I can’t adequately express how this school has continued to exceed my expectations. As with any school parental involvement is key, but don’t miss out on all that Grandview C4 district has to offer!

If they could get 0 stars they would. This school has went way down through the years, now my kids teacher was AMAZING!!!! But school starts at 9:05 so why did they teacher letting the car riders in shut the door on the kids at 9:03 and then the office workers made the kids stand outside in the cold until a parent could come in. Yet they allowed other students in without a parent. The principal does not care about the students education and wellbeing and he's disrespectful to his staff. I used to speak highly of Meadowmere, it was the better school in the district. But not anymore. When Mr Fielder was here he did an AMAZING job. He actually cared about the education and well being of these kids. These kids are just another body to fill a seat to this principal now. Hopefully Missouri can get on the school voucher list like Kansas because I bet nobody will actually want their kids at this school with this principal.

This school has been amazing for my Kindergartener. I know each year he will continue to be challenged and grow. I'm so glad the teachers at Meadowmere are shaping my son's education.

This school is on it's 4th principal in four years. My 10 year old son says he doesn't learn anything here. I asked his teacher to offer more challenging work for him. It took her two weeks to come up with something. She put him on Khan Academy for a brief time for one day and that was the end of her offering him better curriculum, but he sure has watched a lot of movies at school. I asked the teacher who is in charge of enrichment for new things for him to work on and she talked down to me. She just kept saying he is fine. Refused to even offer him a different spelling list, math, anything.. that might require her to do her job. So disappointed in this school. Lots of schools teach with less money than this school gets. So tired of lazy teachers!
