This school has been wonderful as it relates to helping my children transition from elementary to middle school, however I’ve had issues with a specific teacher and Dean. When faced with a issue the dynamic between teacher and student is “I’m the teacher I’m always right, you the student your never right”. There were multiple incidents with one teacher where she was very disrespectful and dishonest to my children multiple times. I would reach out to the Dean to see how we could fix the issue and he would ignore my experience and highlight his teachers as if they’re perfect. Even after expressing our experience with the disrespect and dishonesty to the Dean, it meant nothing. The teachers there are never wrong. We’re so done with this school it’s ridiculous.

We were at another charter school before Walker and it was a stressful mess from the teachers, to the unkempt behavioral issues with other students, to my daughter's life threatening food allergies. Walker has been absolutely wonderful, my eldest's grades are amazing and reflect the quality teaching she receives here. The staff have been vigilant and in consistent contact about my youngest daughters severe food allergies and that is a huge relief, knowing they care deeply about her well being as well as being included in events with shared foods. Absolutely pleased with our experience.

My children are thriving in their classes and at this school. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure they are getting the attention they need when it comes to learning something new and I’m grateful for that.

This is a great school and community. Our first grader loves attending here and we feel she is being challenged enough by the course curriculum and that the teachers do a great job teaching her and offering support when needed both academically and emotionally.

Walker Charter is a really good school. Both of my boys hah been here since the very beginning. I like that they take Bullying very serious and they concentrate on the kids education.

My family loves WCA. We love the focus on moral values that are being reinforced here. Teachers and admin are excellent at communication. When issues arise, they are given time and attention. We really love it here. I wish we had a high school here as well! We are very happy with the education our children are receiving from WCA. Office staff is also amazing and helpful!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this school for both of my kids. The teachers have been great and they have both been happy with their education here. The only thing that makes me give the school a four-star rating is they're handling of when my son ran away from the school. I think it was a first for them and they were trying to figure it out as much as I was.

We absolutely love how welcoming Walker Charter Academy has been for our student this year. Her teacher is always helpful and makes sure to keep us well notified of things happening in the classroom. She also makes sure to give oir child challenging work when she thinks things are too easy. We wished we started sooner here!

My daughter was having anxiety after winter break and the staff was awesome with helping us find a plan and work with the counselor to help her feel comfortable and safe.
