Go figure--the new principal of Riverside is the son of a school board member. Nepotism? He is not even certified as a school administrator in Michigan. We need highly qualified leaders with actual credentials, GR.

It was horrible. Less than an hour into the day I felt very unwelcome. The students were very rude, and said very rude things about me. The teachers just expected me to know what I was doing. They never caught me up or anything. I was expected to take a math test along with the class, even though I had no idea what was going on. I was never offered a tour of the school, and I got lost very quickly. When I asked for help, I was ignored. The lunch is very confusing, and I didn't know when my lunch was, so I almost missed it. When I arrived at the school, I wasn't assigned a locker, and didn't have anything for the day. Overall this school is horrible and I was scared at the end of the day.If you are considering putting your child here, reconsider.

Others should know this was the best middle school that i have ever went to. They have great school dances great students wonderful teachers. What I always liked was how heartwarming and welcoming Riverside was and how much the art teacher there taught me so much, and now i love to paint all the time always creative doodling everywhere i go i wish i could go back. What they can do to improve is have a celebration for the students each time the hit a high score just a little peace offering and appreciation
