The community feel and dedication of staff at Orchard Avenue are exceptional. Each child is valued and made to feel like they belong. My son is excelling and I couldn't be more pleased with this environment!

This is the best elementary school in the valley. The education my children are getting there is top notch! The SPED program is the best in the valley along with offering STEAM. Teachers and staff are the best at what they do and the goal is educating and supporting our children. I chose this school for those reasons. This is a school that should not go away. OAE is a home for me and my children for the last 4 years and they have provided an excellent education and support.

I am writing this review on behalf of Orchard Avenue Elementary School where both of my children went/are currently attending. My wife is also an educator and she has spent the last 18 years teaching at Orchard Avenue. I cannot tell you what an impact this school has had on my two children as well as four of my nieces. The growth they have made in academics as well as social and emotional being has been amazing. The community that has been built there within that school over my wife's last eighteen years and also over four different administrators has been nothing short of consistent and excellent. The qualified and highly educated staff there is amazing at what they do, I cannot even count how many of the staff members are National Board Certified, won White Iced Awards, not to mention have special training or have Masters education. Test scores, OHI, TELL, and Panorama data will show that this school is one of our most consistent and higher scoring elementary schools in the valley

My nephew attended Orchard Avenue for all of his elementary schooling. He absolutely loved the school and felt very at home there. His teachers were very attentive, caring, and good at their jobs. He has always excelled in academics, and I know that Orchard Avenue had so much to do with that.

We have had the best experience with Orchard Avenue! Our child feels loved and has grown academically as well as emotionally since he has been a student there. The staff is so dedicated to the precious young lives they get to educate.

My son couldn't read going into first grade from his previous school. In one year and a good reading program he is now top of his class in reading. Great STEAM program.

We have switched schools many times. This is our first school in Colorado. I have never had so many issues with a school. Everyday when I drop my kids off at school, I wonder which child the principal is going to call me about that day.

Orchard Avenue Elementary is a great school with caring, energetic and motivating teachers. The leadership group and parents association offers many opportunities for families to get involved. Mrs. Alvarez is a great teacher for my fifth grade student. We love the way she cares for our child and pushes her to learn.

Years ago Orchard was a great school, but a change in staff and this school has gone downhill very quickly. The ladies in the office are snotty and very rude, not only to the parents, but the children as well. They are constantly coming up with fubdraisers, but yet the school shows zero benefits from them. The teachers are ok, but have the children so stressed about receiving high test scores that my child was literally ill from worry. I was not impressed with Orchard and the blue ribbon they received years ago is just that, in the past.

This school is one of the best school in the valley and it shows by their leader the principal. Denise Hoctor!! She and the teachers go out there way to make sure every kid has a fighting chance to learn.
