My 2 daughters go to this school and I am seeing all the improvements they have made and it has made a huge difference! My kids are excited to go to school, the teachers have been very communicative, respectful, and my kids are flourishing! There has been many updates to staff and support staff, social emotional learning strategies, there is much added support for kids with special needs and learning disabilities now than there ever was before, and they are even in the middle of planning a huge playground remodel to ensure inclusivity, safety, and overall physical and mental health of the student body. I would highly recommend this school!

I have 2 children who attend this school and they both love it! Their teachers are very nice, quick with communication and seem to genuinely care about their students. They are excited to go to school. There are many fun activities and events throughout the school year for students and families to attend. There are also many opportunities for parent involvement which I often participate in, and I can't find anyone negative to say about this school.

Went to this school in the 1960s grades 1-6. Have vivid wonderful memories of the school and all my teachers. I'm currently looking for some friends of mine, Sammy Morris who sat in front of, Steve Nicholson who sat behind me, and my best friend Sharon McGinnis.I have old photos of May Pole Dances, etc.

Students come first at Fruitvale! Keep up the strong work. Best students and teachers in the district

Our school is the best school in the district. We have nice teachers; Dave McCall (my teacher), we have a good playground, and good lunch. Most important, the kids are nice. Which to me, is what school is mostly about. That and learning. Everybody in my class is SOOOOOO nice. In my opinion, I think they couldn't be more nice. whenever you walk in the door they always say, "YAAAAAA YOU'RE HERE!!!" And sometimes, it gets a little scary. I bet if you walked up to any Fruitvale 5th graders, and ask them who the best 5th teacher is, over 3/4 of them will say Mr. McCall. We,(his students), call him Mr. McCool. He's awesome. Oh yeah. My name is Sean K. I hope you'll want your kids to come to Fruitvale. We're always looking for more football players. :)

As a parent of six kids I feel this school is a let down. The good teachers are leaving and in there place is ones who really dont care about are children.I feel sometimes like they dont listen to me or my children. It is not the school that I thought it to be.If I had a say in where my children would go it would not be fruitvale.Good luck to any one who thinks there child will learn anything at Fruitvale

Fruitvale is an awesomr school with amazing teachers and staff who are always willing to go above and beyond. My oldest son currently attends Fruitvale and I can honestly say without a doubt that Fruitvale is the only school I'd have him go to. He has two younger brothers who will be attending school soon as well, and the same goes for them! Fruitvale is not only academically oriented, but they also have a strong focus on helping our kids be and stay healthy and strong- physically, emotionally, and mentally. I've seen nothing but good in my time at Fruitvale, and being not only a parent, but also a PTA officer, I've spent quite a bit of time in those halls! Our teachers promote healthy minds and bodies, and discourage ALL forms of bullying- because ALL bulling is wrong, no matter how large or small the situation may seem. I feel the staff is very supportive of our students, and are always looking for ways to help them improve, grow, and expand. This being said, if we ever moved out of the school's area I'd be the first in line to sign my boys up for school of choice, to make sure they were able to attend this incredible school and environment!

Horrible school. They tolerate bullying. My child went there from Kindergarten till second grade. The bullying never stopped. Certain "higher" staff members knew about the bullying and did nothing to stop it. I had to transfer my child to another school due to the continuous problems. Phone calls are never returned, as promised. I wouldnt give this school a 1/4 of a star if I really had the chance. It's a bad place to send your children.

I have two students attending Fruitvale and we really enjoy the school. There is a great group of parents that are always involved and ready to help out. The teaching staff is wonderful and the principal, Kathy Hays, is doing an amazingl job!

As an involved parent and PTA officer, I can not say enough good things about Fruitvale Elementary. The principal, Kathy Hays, is phenomenal as is the rest of the staff! I'm afraid the school has gotten a low score based on previous principals and staff because I can't imagine anyone having a negative word to say about them. My daughter comes home every day and tells me "I love school". Her teacher, Susan Connor, is amazing, and I applaud her for her day to day triumphs with the kids.
