Bullying is a serious thing here. My child's teeth were broken by another classmate, smashing his face onto a table during class and no one saw anything. All to receive a call from the nurse first who did not know how anything happened except my child needed to be picked up so his teeth could get fixed.

My daughter would not be reading if it was not for her teachers and the IEP program. The reading program is great, and the teachers are supportive and understanding of my child's learning disabilities. The elementary program has been nothing but supportive. The office staff is very helpful and will always find an answer to my questions. They have gone out of their way to help me. The principal always responds to my emails and questions as does the vice principal. The children are recognized for their achievements by assembly awards and copper coins throughout the year.

Not the school in general, but quite a few of the teachers are absolutely horrible and rude!

Yanked my child out of this school as soon as I could and in the middle of the school year. School does NOTHING about bullying. My kid now in private school that actually stands up for all kids, and proud to say my kid is getting straight As and the confidence is back. Don't bother with this school, the Admin/Staff are horrible.

My child has learning disabilities and was bullied constantly. The school puts on a good front w talk about anti-bullying but when it actually happens they fail at follow-through. Other kids called my child names, flipped him off almost every day and even had kids ask him if he was the Florida shooter, absolutely disgusting, yet the school said it was my child's word against theirs. FAIL. They were also terrible at communicating. Only one teacher would communicate with us on a regular basis, the others ignored us. We are now homeschooling our child and are pleasantly surprised how much better FREE online school is. My child has no more stress or shame and has full support of his community now. Rethink public schools, they are awful.

Our family is proud to have been at CT since our oldest started kindergarten. We look forward to having all three of our children spend their entire elementary experience at CT.

We moved from a neighboring school, as our daughter chose Copper Trails for a better experience in fine arts opportunities. She has continued her academic successes since being there and has experienced continued positivity towards her education and overall growth. The only issue we have had is with theft from other students, but administration went above and beyond to investigate and help remedy the situation.

Copper Trails is an great school My 7th grader had the opportunity to select her classes and take multiple elective courses such as orchestra and Zumba! My 3rd grader is part of the gifted program and Mr. Matsuura is amazing! I love the school. The principal has done a great job improving it and I know things will only continue to get better!

Copper Trails School is a great school. They have a fantastic community! The administration really cares about their students, the teachers are talented, compassionate and committed and the Parent/Teacher/Student organization is simply AMAZING! We moved our children from another Avondale School District school to Copper Trails and it has been the one of the best decision we've ever made. Not only are our children educationally succeeding, they are excelling all the while being cared for in a nurturing, thoughtful environment. Of course no school is perfect and less than favorable situations are bound to occur from time to time, regardless of where you are. The Copper Trails administration and staff are compassionate and steadfast to find a resolution that works best for their students, their families and the classroom. We couldn't be more pleased not only with the education our children are receiving but also with

I love Copper Trails School elementary school. My daughter has been there for the past 3 years and she is had no problems the principal and staff is friendly however, I do feel some of the teachers are a little lax. However, my child is learning and thriving. So, I am a happy parent.

My daughter attended this school for three years, she was struggling in math and I signed her up for "tutoring", that was a joke. The teacher never helped her, it was almost a study hour or detention. She is now enrolled in another school & "A" rated district and at mid terms, has an A in four classes including, Math.

Meet the Teacher night 2014-15 was a success, I think. Last yeat, we definitely had to wait outside while the P and VP came down the line and greeted parents. That was probably a just a bad judgment call, as it was steaming out. This year, Ms. Ellis had a better set up; the line flow to go in the building was non stop, as she stood and held the door open to greet students and their families. Also, the class lists were posted in EVERY hallway, both up and downstairs, which made it convenient for parents and students. The only suggestion I would make is maybe moving the 'questions and concerns' parents had for the front office to the Gymnasium where there is more room and less congestion.

Meet the teacher night as usual is a joke. Waiting outside in 108 degree weather & it all thanks to our principal who feels informing the students & parents ahead of time would cause her more parents wanting to switch classes. Instead we are forced to stand outside & wait. This school has so much room for improvement.
