Currently have multiple students in this school. For the most part our oldest child seems excited about the classes and activities. For the classes they are struggling in the teachers have completely placed all the teaching and work into the parents and child through homework. No help from the teachers with just criticism on how you and the child are failing at everything and sent emails from these teachers stating such daily. With the short time being in this school and the consistent issues the school is having with how the we are teaching our children as they do not. We will be pulling the kids as soon as we can for a school that actually teaches.

There is hours of homework every night. You’re lucky if you get a teacher that doesn’t constantly yell at or bully the kids. If you bring an issue to the principal it isn’t resolved and the teachers are allowed to lie and make excuses. They don’t put the kids safety first and don’t hold teachers accountable. A teacher physically hurt my child and was allowed to keep doing it and after informing them it happened a second time they didn’t speak to the teacher and allowed it to happen a few more times. The teacher turnover rate is extremely high and many leave mid year workout even saying bye to the students. It doesn’t have a lunch program or a real playground area and they constantly harass you to give them more money. They rarely have field trips or opportunities for parents to volunteer except for the lunch program which they should be paying people to do instead of making parents do it. They make 4th graders use lockers and find their class on their own and mark them tardy if they don’t get to class in only 5 minutes.

We have had an exceptional experience at this school. The kids work hard and play hard. Our son especially loves having PE daily and three recesses! He likes Mandarin so much that he wants to go to China for vacation. We love the specials at this school....music, art, theater, engineering, and a very cool class called connections that pulls all the curriculum together. We also like the fact that the school is very multicultural. It has great after school activities and events too.
