My son graduated today from Montessori Children's House, after 11 years with them. For 11 years I haven't worried whether or not he was having a good day- I've never seen a kid come out of those doors anything but happy. For 11 years, I've had zero worries about homework, grades, whether he'd get in trouble because I got him to school late (again), bullying, how his teachers treated him, if his clothes were "cool," if he'd get to play outside, if he had friends, who his friends were, if he was under too much pressure, if he'd be able to keep up with school and all his extra-curriculars, if they'd understand he needed a few days off because his dad was visiting from out of state. For 11 years, I've sent him to school KNOWING he'd be treated like family. He has never liked to miss school, including for summer break and snow days, and today is very bittersweet for both of us.I didn't intend to send him to preschool at all, but at age 3, he begged me to go to school. What started as 3 half days, soon turned into full days, once he realized some of his friends got to stay all day. What started as, "We'll just go through preschool, then move him, " turned into "Are you sure I can't do high school here?"Montessori Children's House, thank you for EVERYTHING. We will be forever grateful.

My child started here at 2 with daycare and then started pre-k at 3. She will be going into kindergarten this fall and will be with the same teacher for her third and final year with her. That's part of the Montessori teaching method being with the same teacher for 3 years at the younger age groups. She is 5 and can add and subtract. Knows a lot about geography and animals. Does very well in math. Knows how to count to 20 in Spanish by herself and speaks some too. They have PE where they learn things like yoga. The overall atmosphere is wonderful because u drop ur child right off at teachers class door. If I need to talk to the supervisor her door is always open. If I need after school care it's right next door. The other kids and parents are wonderful and down to earth. We need more kids to join and the parents to stick with it there so they can eventually build a new building and go up to 12th grade. There is no bullying at this school at all, which is a wonderful thing. They have iPads in the classrooms even the pre-k kids get to learn stuff with education apps at free time. If ur serious about ur kids education this is the place because it may look and sound like a different school but all it is doing is teaching the kids without them realizing that it's hard work to learn advanced things because everything is integrated into real life things. Like I said a very good education because it's more based of how each kid learns as an individual which is polar opposite from public school, who if u don't get it the one way the know how to do it then oh well is the attitude anymore. I would recommend and have recommended this school and daycare to a lot of friends and family. It's hard to find a private school that isn't church based. They teach good values and to be a good upstanding person throughout life. Being respectful, kind, courteous, and an individual is what they are about to make sure each kid is on track and gets the best education. I have to agree with the other comment that ur child is loved by the staff kids in 8th grade and the teachers in the upper grades even know my little girl who is five. It just makes u feel good to send them to school where everyone watches out for each other.----a parent

We love this school! My son has been with them since age 3, and is now in the elementary program. It's so comforting to know that he is not only learning, but he is loved. These teachers sincerely care about their students, and about teaching. He LOVES school and is disappointed when he has to miss a day. When your child doesn't want to miss a day of school, and he happily jumps out of the car to run inside, you know they are doing something right.
