Awful school. Went there and left. School is now run by a principal who goes out and drinks with the parents at the school. The parents that run the school. All they have to do is run to the principal crying and they get their way. They’ve even gotten people fired before. For no reason. Person who says only a few families don’t run the school is probably apart of said families. All they do is drink and drink and drink

SsPP is a great school. The principal and teachers are very talented, dedicated, and caring of the children they teach. The parents work hard to support their school. The 8/30/14 comment on this forum that states "This school parent group is literally run by one family and a few others that party with them" is FALSE. The "parent group" is the PSA and it is run by four elected officers. ALL parents are encouraged to voice their opinions at the quarterly PSA meetings. What the complainer doesn't understand is that the PSA and parents are all volunteers, and like most volunteer organizations, those who put in the hard work tend to earn the louder voices. There's no "good ole' boys" network in power, just people who work hard together for their kids' school and have become close friends in doing so. If you can't be happy at SsPP School, chances are there's few places you can be happy.

This school parent group is literally run by one family and a few others that party with them. Very few parents are able to voice an opinion or be heard if you are not one of them in the group. Administration is good friends with the group and socializes with them. Beware of this place .. It almost has a Jim Jones climate

This is a wonderful school. We have two children in SsPP. The teachers are very helpful and well trained. Some of the teachers have been there for two generations! The school has recently (a few years) gone through many changes, almost all with wonderful results. We are a small school, but we are very mighty. There are small class sizes, which means lots of one on one time and even working through things faster! The staff care about all of the students and it shows in what they do. The parent organizations are very supportive of the school and parish. The families are always there to help out. This is an amazing school and we wouldn't want our children to go anywhere else.

My rating is for when I attended in the 1950s, and I would give it 5 Star. The Nuns ran a tight ship in those days. I left Alton at 17 and joined the Navy and served 20 years. Served a tour in Vietnam in 1965-66 and wounded in action twice. I loved that school. I'm glad it was resurrected. I am 72 years old now but still going strong. Please pass on my best wishes for the future to your students. Joe Waggoner

I am inspired by the teachers dedication. The pricncipal's didicatiion & love for the children & school. I don't want to for get Grandma Donna who is there every day to help any student out. The dedication & love she has to help children is remarkable.

It is a great place for kids to learn and eventually grow into productive adults.
