Hickory Bend is a nice, small school. They have a lot of after school clubs for students to join.

Overall I feel that Hickory Bend School is an awesome school very engaging principal and staff!! Every morning Principal Jackson is standing at the door greeting students and staff, rain, shine or snow!! I remember it was an extremely bad rain storm and their principal was outside with her large golf umbrella shielding students from the rain. She is a very hands on Principal. The students, staff and parents have a numerous amount of engaging after school and also during school learning activities, such as PBIS Anti-Bullying activities, Literacy Family Night, STEM Fair, Choir Concerts, to name a few. My children started at HB the year Principal Jackson was hired and I truly love her and everything she has done for our students!!

My son has been going to this school since Kindergarten and is now in his last year. I have been more than pleased with his time at HB. Academically, I am impressed with all the different learning avenues and styles of teaching. For example, game night or reading night for the family; the book club and stars programs. Just to name a few. There is great communication between the parents and staff. Most importantly, the teachers that I have encountered genuinely care about the children and pushing them to their greatest potential. I am actually sad that this is his last year at HB.

I think this is a good school considering all the challenges teachers,parents,and administrators face in public education today. However you need to be involved in your child's education to see the maximum benefit. For the most part my son loves going to school. The school is clean and the office staff is very friendly and professional. I had a few incidents but for the most part is a good school.

I think this is a great school and getting better, teacher concerns for their stundents is great. the principal was very good, office staff is off the hook, the overall staff of this school interacts very well with all the stundents, i think the new principal follow directions of the previous one and make farther advancements in stundents advanvcements
