Wolcott is great! They hold students, parents, and teachers accountable.

My son is "twice exceptional" meaning that his intelligence is great, but his executive functioning is very low. He can do the work but he just can't seem to keep up with the other kids his age. Wolcott School is an answer to lots of sleepless nights, worrying about how he'll fare in the difficult Chicago public school system. We're thankful we found Wolcott! We know he'll get the attention and encouragement he needs to succeed in HIgh School, college and in life!

My daughter is exceptionally happy at Wolcott School. I am impressed by the faculty, administration and community. The school has an expertise in identifying and teaching to students' strengths. I would strongly recommend Wolcott to any college-bound student who is struggling because his/her learning style does not match his/her school's teaching style. As a note, all of the reviews below refer to a different Wolcott School.

I think that choosing a school for you and your children is a very personal choice. We all have different ideas of what is important for our children and what we find to be valuable. I have two children at Wolcott it is a very exceptional school. Teachers at Wolcott don't have any problem controlling their classes BECAUSE they are lenient and earn the respect of students. The teachers cater to confused students which is one of the best aspects of this school! No matter what your problem is the teachers will make themselves available at virtually any time to help you prepare,They never leave anyone behind. The teachers and students are friendly, yet competetitive a bit. The Prinicipal is very encouraging and hands on.
