Hoover High School fosters division and intolerance among ethnic groups by politicizing the campus and punishing students who challenge the status quo. This has been my experience as a parent of a student at the school, and alumni. If you’re child is not Armenian, they are likely going to get treated poorly. It's clear, from what my son and others have experienced, that discrimination isn't just from students but also from staff. The principal is not great at his job and the staff are biased, and the only way you know they are biased is if you understand the hatred that spews from their mouths. If you want your child to thrive, I strongly advise against sending them here.

If you love your child, please don't send them here or any school in GUSD. There is no accountability from teacher's or staff. The focus is exactly what is being said in current board meetings. Classroom environments are now places that children are encouraged to engage in sexual relations and if you don't agree you will be ridiculed. The division and hate is coming from the ones in charge. The fact that they try to cover events that take place in the schools and gaslight parents for speaking up is appalling. You will lose the child you brought into this world by allowing them to feed them these lies. If your child goes here, talk to them, find out what is going on, but most importantly love them. You will be the only ones that will always be there for them to succeed and always to share in their life. The staff made it clear they did not care about my child after what they forced upon them.Start asking questions to the people that claim to care. I think we as parents need to know more about the people who we entrust to teach our children. Do they have ongoing background checks? Do the conduct random drug tests? Are they monitoring classroom discussions that might be controversial? There are great teacher's out there, but what about the one's that are not? PROTECT YOU CHILDREN!!! STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS!!! Our future depends on what our children learn today.

Sometimes it’s okay, but most of the teachers are not good teachers. I had two out of seven teachers that I actually liked. Most of my teachers I disliked. Some give unreasonable expectations, or progress way too fast. A lot of the work feels like it’s only there to fill time. Homophobia is really bad here and it’s impossible to get through a semester even without something happening to you. My favorite teachers were Ms Lopez and Ms Chan, you guys rock.

I am not completely grateful of the academics that this school has offered, but I am grateful that this school gave me freedom to do what I wanted to do and be. The only thing I am truly grateful for is being a part of HTMB because it's the worst and best thing a student can do. Your a part of a true family at HTMB and if you take advantage of this program, I promise you will become a person who can appreciate and have dignity, integrity, passion for what you do in your future. Don't join this program to make it look good on a college application, but be immersed in the experiences and family you will be a part of in this program.

the entire teaching staff go an extra mile for the sake of students. the principal is an incredible administrator. The hoover tornado marching band is hard to beat as they have extra ordinary skills as witnessed during the state competition. parents work closely with teachers as a team. One can rest be assured their children get the best of education and its a great school for children to develop and achieve high.

Hoover's Art Department is amazing and the principal Dr. Earl is forward thinking and cares a lot about students and staff. This is a great school for smart and creative kids who enjoy thinking critically and challenging themselves academically.

Hoover is a pretty good school if you are enrolled in the AP or honors programs. There's a pretty big difference between AP classes and regular classes in this school. My regular classes have a handful of desperate, loud students seeking attention by being rude. My honors and AP classes are full of students who are committed with their school work and at the same time are very easy to get along with. Beware of the terrible math teachers in Hoover!

The cleanest , more secure school and clean record in the whole other schools . we had a bad experience last year in private school ,so after search, we found Hoover high school is the best for my daughter .because teachers are polite , more understanding, more patient and the most important thing no discrimination between A's student and lower student .
