This school has been great for both of my children. The staff is amazing! Always helpful and supportive. These last couple of years have been tough with Covid, but the school has done its best to accommodate everyone's needs. I love the small class sizes and that students get hands-on learning in the nearby Nature Area. Every time I have had any issue with the bullying of my children the staff has responded well and appropriately.

Horrible school. Kids bringing knives to school. Teachers passing this off as "children playing". Bullying is out of control. I along with 5 other families had to leave the school because of the bullying situations. The teachers and staff stated that they could not resolve the bullying because the kids at a rough home life. Students at this school are so far below the state standards that they have to send out a letter notifying parents that the kids cannot pass a simple test. When asked about this they responded with "low scores for low income increases our funding". They have constant problems with vandalism and there are no repercussions. If you hold any value on education and structure, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!

We had to leave this school. They are not up to date on what is appropriate practices for young children. They are not the whole problem though, the district is ran by people who don't care. They got rid of a lady (amidst much community outcry) who was a corner and touchstone to the children there who worked in the office for years and that poor decision has made the whole school lose out. This district is a losing bet and cannot sustain a level of competency due to a budget in the negative and board members who lack vision and care.

Georgetown School has come along way this year. I re-enrolled my son at Georgetown after having a less than stellar experience at another nearby school that was supposed to be 'better'. The new principal has brought new energy to the school. He's always available to speak to me and seems to actually like the kids and takes pride in the school. My son likes going to school, made new friends, and finally found a place that he can grow in. We are so blessed to have a wonderful 4th grade teacher. I am looking forward to seeing what next year will bring.

This school has a long way to go to become the educational standard this community needs.
