They do not have a handle on the bullying situation. We even experienced bullying from the staff. It starts at the top how you treat your students is carried over to how the students treat one another. I cannot recommend. This school is destructive to the local public school on many levels. I do not support how they choose to operate. No thank you.

ARCS is an amazing school. Every staff member is always positive and focused on what the children need, as a whole as well as individually. The kids at ARCS are happy, respectful, and generally excited to get to come to school each day.

My children have attended ARCS from the very beginning. We have seen many changes, most for the better. There has always been a fair to significant amount of parent involvement. Moving to from the Garden Valley campus to Georgetown campus was one of the better ones. Though the campus is older and occasionally needing repairs, what campus isn't, there is more room for the students to play and an actual play ground. The staff is very helpful and the teachers sincerely care about their students growth academically, socially and emotionally. The students are very accepting of each others individuality. Overall a great choice.

I am glad that ARCS is an option in our school district. The teachers are very caring and have a high standard of learning for kids and are able to tailor their teaching to meet the needs of every student. I love the personal family climate. My kids love to come to school. Our experience has been great.

ARCS is a charter school experiment gone awry. The admin is a thorn in the side of all the schools in the area and the district board. We experienced bullying, and other inappropriate, unprofessional and downright destructive behaviors from the admin, staff and teachers. The formerly closed down campus sat for years unused and is insect infested and prone to the classrooms being sprayed. Not a healthy environment, socially, emotionally or physically for children. Most reviews are spot on. While the teachers have been more then great helping all the students learn in their own ways and pace (can't thank these teachers enough for the job they have done for my family).....The kids seem to bond with many other grade level kids (I love seeing older class mates helping the younger ones).....it balances all out with rundown facilities, poor learning tools (outdated computer lab)...and most alarming is the lack of discipline when dealing with "bullies" and the sense of too many parents with ideas of this school being a babysitter service more then dealing with their kids and allowing the school to do what it knows best and teach. Over all my family has benefited but I can see how it could be a turn off for other families.

My children have attended all three of the programs at ARCS - homeschool, hybrid, and site. Not only did they love the school, the attention from staff and faculty felt more like a private school situation than public. Parents are very involved and you definitely feel like you are part of a family. It's not surprising that the classes are full and they are wait-listed! ARCS is an excellent school!
