My son's first year in Hickman, I was worried he might be hard time adjusting from his other school. But within two weeks he loves Hickman and love his teacher Ms Davis. Thank you for all you are doing for each and individual students.

I am very impressed with Hickman, this is our 2nd year there. My son is a 3rd grader this year The teachers are great. The office staff is very nice and helpful. My son loves Nurse Connie also. We came from a very highly rated school in a Houston suburb. And I was worried about the move, but my son's reading and handwriting has far surpassed what he was doing at the other school. Mrs. McEwen is firm but fun with the kids. Only thing I notice is not a lot of other parents show up for all the events the school puts on.

I have 2 boys that have attended school here since 2009. There isn't enough good things I can say about this school. The teachers my children have had are amazing. Mrs. Alderete and Mrs. Turner (formerly Rohr) are by far my favorites. But it's not just their grade teachers, the office personnel are super friendly and helpful. They have been since day one. Nurse Connie, well let's just say my oldest loves her to death, even seemed to have a reason to be sent to her the first year he had met her. My youngest goes to speech therapy and doesn t feel like he s a slow learner or a kid with a problem, he seems himself as a privileged student who gets to practice with Mrs. Hammer a few times a week. The programs they implemented this year to get fathers involved more at the school have boosted morale with the younger kids. Mr. Grey and Mrs. McEwen bring a certain kind of excitement to the children they come into contact with on a daily basis. The kids are thrilled to hold up their H with their hands and get recognized for just being themselves. It s not just the school and the teachers, it s the programs and new innovative ideas that make this school a treasure to say the very least.
