I wish I would’ve taken the google reviews and the advice I was given by word of mouth seriously before ever letting my child set foot in this school. If you want your child treated fairly and just simply like a human being by not just their peers but the staff and personnel (as we all do) find a different school.

School allowed a bully situation to happened and offered no support for child. Child’s hair was cut by another student. Principal dismissed the situation and no action was taking.

It has been HORRIBLE, but I've tried to make the best of it. I think most all public schools would have the same issues, because of funding. Many groups are fighting in Congress to educate teachers on identifying learning disabilities, and until this is done, children will pay the price. Not only in struggling to learn, but the HORRIBLE anxiety, self-esteem issues (because they don't understand why they can't do what the other kids are doing), self confidence, fear, withdrawal, confusion, embarrassment, etc. Children shouldn't go through this. The teachers are sweet at Howard and love the kids though. They try. I HATE the 7:30 a.m. starting time, which I've NEVER heard of, we always started at 8:00. That's WAY TOO EARLY for kids to get up, they aren't at a job! The extra thirty mins. is HUGE to a child. And, all the children hate not being allowed to talk in line, at lunch time, and in class, at all. I NEVER had a school do that, and I spoke to other schools that nobody else does this. Overall, my kid loves his teachers, and his friends-but THAT'S IT.

Worst school my children have even attended. And I have 5 kids in total and been to a good many in this state an another. This place has the rudest principal I’ve ever seen

We recently moved to the area and the school and staff have made the transition a wonderful experience! We have met a lot of families that are involved in the school, from pto to parents volunteering in the classroom. The technology/computer lab is very impressive and we love my daughter's teacher! So glad we found Howard!

This school and the staff, has been amazing! Miss Roberts (3rd grade) has been a godsend for our family! The first time I walked into the office, I was sincerely greeted, by the woman who works the front desk, she is such a sweetheart! Our child, came from another district, and was way behind. Not to mention, I've been in the hospital, due to health issues. The staff of Howard, and her teacher, Miss Roberts, did their best to help my daughter with what she was lacking in education, & her self esteem! They helped tutor her, get her involved with after school classes. My daughter went from not wanting to go to school, & sad all of the time, to now she holds her head up high, & is finally proud of herself!! Never in my whole time of teaching (yes, I used to teach) have I ever seen such an amazing group of people, who will help, and fight for the kids in their school. This is not a Elementary school, this is like a family, a kind of community where they display their love into action with the children. Anyone can teach, but it takes someone special to make a everlasting impact on a child's future.-McKenna Duke

this very well might be a awesome school based upon academics but at the same time I do not agree with the way the parents are handled once inside the school with their child.if I hate want to walk my child to his classroom without disrupting the class till the parrot I have every right to do so.
