Our children have been in the school for 8 years and we are happy with the education, with the biblical teaching, the great community and with the leadership. The leaders are truly passionate about caring for the students and seeing them become the next generation of Godly leaders in their community.

Horrible. Administration lacks leadership in oversight of their teachers misbehavior in disciplinary procedures. It is unacceptable for ANY Teacher to lay a hand on a child, definitely not by the neck.

100 % positive. I have a son in 4th Grade and a daughter in kindergarten at CLS. My son began there in the second grade after having a very difficult experience at another private school. At his first school, it was strongly recommended that he repeat kindergarten (he did not). The next year, he came very close to failing the first grade. He was emotionally defeated and my wife and I were lost and discouraged. Having heard very good things about CLS, we had him visit there. We enrolled him the following year. To say that he has thrived is a gross understatement. Through the skilled and compassionate work of his second, third, and fourth grade teachers, he enjoys school and is achieving the kind of success that I could not have imagined. On his most recent report card, he earned 11 A's, 1 B, and 1C. He enjoys school and has learned to love learning. The peer culture at the school is outstanding. The teachers that I have experienced there are skilled, versatile, and they put their whole heart into their job. The leadership from the administrators is exceptional. I would not want to imagine where my son would be in life if not for CLS.

Everything will be fine if your child is in elementary school. The principal is a man of God and children love him. I was a parent of CLS for a few years so know the school well enough to warn minorities. Do not attend this school.Upper level is a nightmare. Horrible treatment to minorities and their parents.

We are new family to CLS this year and love the warmth and friendliness of staff. They are eager to pray for you or give a hug when they see you. Our child is adapting so well after changing schools. She actually is sharing about her day now and is engaged. The electives are interesting to her and shes not feeling stuck in an atmosphere that wasn't challenging her.

As a former alumnus, I can say that my experiences at Covenant Life not only shaped my middle and high school years, but helped shaped me into the person I am today. The faculty truly cared about their students and the community at the school was top notch.

My student was new to CLS in the 9th grade this year. She had a fabulous year. The best thing about the school is the dedicated teachers. They were all enthusiastic about their subjects and available during lunch and after school to provide additional help. The learning specialist is available to all students not just those with a specific learning issue. The principal and other administrators really have an open door policy. My daughter especially loved being part of the choir which is extremely good. The art teacher and the art studios are also first rate. The PE class was also excellent. My daughter got lots of exercise, had fun, and learned some new sports. The school is small so my daughter got to know everyone is her grade as well as students in other grades. She really felt like part of a community. There is definitely Christian love in action at CLS.

Hi, I was a little nervous about sending my son to a school where he would be a minority in 9th grade. But because my son is open-minded and makes friend easily, he blended in, and it was a very positive experience. I saw him strive, and especially in the last years of high school become a serious and independent student. He is going to college next fall, and I have very little apprehension. He also got a chance to explore his new found wrestling skills, and competed with a team with an exceptional spirit of camaraderie and resilience. The team made it to a National competition this year. I also saw that some of the teachers genuinely cared, beyond their scope of duties. The school is not very well organized, very often parents find out about events or activities at the last minute. But the administration is improving, I can see a big difference in 4 years. Besides, they are very committed to improve and are open to criticism, and take it into consideration.

We have three children at Covenant Life School. We so appreciate the teacher's investing in our children, with smaller classrooms and really getting to know our children. The academics are strong, the spiritual formation is build into the every day in the classroom. The children are comfortable talking about God, and other spiritual aspects of life. So grateful that my children have the freedom to learn about, and worship God in the classroom.

We have attended two Christian schools. At CLS, the theological training is deep and serious -- even elementary kids come home thinking about what it means to believe in Jesus, and the meaning of his life and death. But at the "other" school, kids simply sang Jesus songs and were forced to recite silly pledges to believe in Jesus. Also, at CLS, teachers teach a rigorous traditional curriculum -- the kids are challenged in math, science, and phonics with the same strong curriculum products they would receive at other excellent private schools. Some Christian schools only use curriculum that is published exclusively by Christian publishers (why would my son's MATH book need to have Jesus on every page?). If you want a world-class private school education, with excellent bible teaching and character development, this is the school for you.

My child attends Covenant Life School in Gaithersburg, MD. I've never experienced such a wonderful sense of community before. The teachers and staff really care for each child and are committed to their success. I volunteer at the school and find that God blesses me every time I serve. I can't imagine my child getting his education anywhere else! CLS is the best!

My daughter loves the school! Her teacher is so fun and creative and really loves the children. I will definitely send all my kids there when they are old enough.

We wanted a school for our 3 children that would give a well rounded world view instead of just one.

All of our kids have gone to Covenant Life School. Two have graduated, and when all is done, yes, they have scholarships, however, what is most important to me, is they desire to pursue God and godliness. I believe Covenant Life and its staff have had a lot to do with their character and love for God and others.

A great combination of academic excellence and character development. That is what I love about Covenant Life School. My wife and I were so encouraged and blown away after our first parent-teacher conference. The teacher enthusiastically communicated the abilities and strengths of our child and then spent some time telling us how she could grow in influencing others to pursue godly character. We asked her a few questions on how we as parents could partner with her to contribute in her growth and she gave us so much wise and helpful advice. We both left thinking that we'd love to go back to school and have teachers like her. We highly recommend Covenant Life School!

When my daughters joined this school in the middle of fifth grade they were a bit resistant to the idea. By the end of the school year they were tightly knit with their classmates and thanking me for putting them in the school. The school community is such a blessing to me and my daughters. As a single Dad I need all the help I can get. The teachers, faculty, other parents, and even the other students genuinely care, pray for, counsel, and love the students and their families. My girls just graduated and we are really going to miss all the love and fun and activity at CLS. Still, because of this school, they have been very well prepared academically and personally to launch into their college careers. As the lowest cost private school in montgomery county, it is a fabulous bargain--easily worth twice the tuition. The relationships, however, are priceless.
