I Would NEVER recommend this schoolTeachers dont seem to care about your kidThey never EVER did a hands on, And the staff at the school is very cold, NO homework (even the ones that help you)And they don't care about your son being bullied

Overall a good experience with the school. Both my kids attended this school for more than 3 years.

My sons were going to another elementary school in Haymarket but based on a zoning change the attend Tyler now. I was hesitant at first but after comparing this school to the previous one they are much better off here. The front office staff is VERY warm and professional and the teachers go beyond expectations. I am very satisfied with this school. Disregard negative reviews.

We were happy with Tyler and the quality of education that my child received during her year there. The principal (Mrs. Perilla) is very active and involved at school. She is hands on, warm and welcome with the students. They do have a program for gifted students which reinforce the academic area where the child is talented, we really liked that choice. Based on my personal experience, Ms. Wilco (the person in charge of this program) was nice to the students but very cold and defensive with the parents. That is an area of improvement... other than that this school strive to deliver an above the standard education in a fun environment.

My son goes to Tyler and he loves it! He likes to go to school and has learned a lot from the teachers there. He makes good friends too. Thank you, Tyler!

Recently enrolled my son at Tyler and have found this experience very pleasant. The staff is welcoming and dedicated as well as professional and passionate about what they do. Couldn't be happier with the school.

Beware if you have a child that has special needs-this is not the school (or county) for your family. Disappointing treatment of both child and parents; more concerned with test scores and achieving school status than the education of ALL children-not just those that fit the mold and make them look good.

In 2012 Tyler transitioned from one great principal to another great principal. Excellent teachers and friendly staff. Tyler is a great school and a great experience for my son.
