We love it here. The education my children are receiving is top notch. The parentalInvolvement is phenomenal. We have been more than happy with the teachers and administrators. One of my children is special need and their needs have been met every step of the way. My children love it there and so do we!

The school is wonderful, and the teachers care about there student. Since my daughter been at this school, she is excited to be there, and her grades has turned around from C and D to straight A's.

My child attended LPS from Kinder to 4th grade. He has special needs, which required an IEP. The IEP was never followed. He was bullied constantly in his class, to which we would have meetings with administration, and their resolution was to place my child in a different classroom(without my consent). It went all downhill after that. He came home every single day in tears and begging not to go back. When we had a meeting to remedy this, I was told "he can deal with it." They denied him the use of the restroom, nurse, etc. He was on the honor roll the entire time he was there and never had one incident of not being on his best behavior. He was physically bullied as well(punched in the face, rocks thrown at him) and I wasn't contacted. At all. Horrible administration and teachers that seem to change hands every few weeks. Out of the 60 plus kids he started Kinder with, only 5 remain. I think that speaks volumes!

Weak leadership over the Student Services, which includes Special Education. Worked here for a very short period due to lack of support, materials, supplies and curriculum. Disorganized, ego-centric leaders, and complete chaos. If your child is special needs, this is NOT the school you want to enroll them in. Violations of federal guidelines, not following IEPs, issues with servicing students. Special Education teachers beware! Do not apply here! They need to be audited by a Federal agency. Parents, hire an ARD advocate to represent your child.

Leadership has gone downhill in just the last couple of years. Teachers are leaving by the dozens. The administration is abysmal. For example, when a middle school math teacher left mid-year last year, she was replaced by a special ed teachers' aid who had never before taught any subject in a classroom setting, let alone middle school mathematics. The kids' math scores plummeted, and when the principal was questioned about his decision, he blamed the children. Bottom line - the leadership at Leadership is non-existent.

My daughter has attended LPS for 7 years. The students include new students and teachers are very helpful and accommodating.

Leadership Prep is a charter school in Frisco ISD, providing mediocre education compared to either private or public schools in the area. It lacks the rigor and the community of some of the best public schools but has the bureaucracy and artificial rules typically associated with public schools. Unform code is strict, but teachers could not care less about students' progress - especially students with disabilities or learning differences. One of the teachers could care so little about student progress, that teacher provided no feedback to students at all, sometimes ironically providing test answers inadvertently (or maybe not!) before tests. The other teacher, who I recall was previously at Frisco ISD, had no instructional skills, nor interest in helping students master the material, and was weeks late grading assignments. Leadership was unresponsive to emails. All they cared about was meeting some technical requirements from TEA; paperwork rules this school - learning does not. This school might work for certain kinds of students whose parents basically teach them at home, or supervise them endlessly. Students can therefore turn in assignments on time (which matters in this school much more than their actual learning!).

Very disorganized school. Teachers will stab you in the back. Administration claims to be "Christian" and they all gossip and spread lies.

My two daughters have gone to LPS since the school(s) first opened. As parents, we absolutely LOVE the small town feel that LPS has, our girls really feel like they belong to a community and they are growing in every way, academically, athletically, socially, leadership, etc...we LOVE this school!

Such a breath of fresh air after a school with so much bullying. People here are kind and welcoming. Much better academics with caring teachers. Best school in Frisco.

At first, I was like everyone else touting about how the grass was greener at LPS. I even stubbornly wouldn't give up because it meant admitting I'd made a mistake in my choice for my children. At some point, though, it's time to cut your losses and move on. I wish we had left sooner. I feel like we lost years that we can't get back. My kids, who were once students who sailed through public school easily, came back struggling and jaded. Now that they are back, though, they are enjoying the regular curriculum. Yes, project-based is great for some parts of classes and I see that in public school being used. But trying to force things that aren't a good fit for Pbl and group settings is ridiculous. Plus the teachers are not all qualified in ANY subject area. Teachers should have a good grip on the English language and have experience teaching their subject area or teaching period!

I am a strong advocate for LPS, my student has attended since day 1 and I am proud of what she has accomplished, her focus and continued desire to learn. I feel with LPS that my student is safe, is challenged and excited to go to school every day. How many parents can say they have NEVER had to remind their student about homework or ask them to do it? I can!!!

5 out of 5 stars-if your child gets a chance to attend they are very fortunate. There is a waiting list to get in.Project learning is used at this school which teaches the kids how to work effectively in teams. This type of learning prepares them for college and today's job market.

Like several other parents we are very unhappy with LPS this year.. they have really gone to a fill the seat mentality with 30 students in most of our kids classes (this is a private charter school) you expect better. Behavior of students is far from acceptable and the principal is a great business leader but should not be around kids.. period.. I along with several parents are just trying to get our kids to finish this year with LPS and move on.. and as the previous parent wrote students are leaving in drovers.. our kids have hatted this school from day 1.. and as excited my wife and I were.. not all charter schools are created equal to say the least.. We have even gone as high as the School Administrator and told its a school issue deal with them.. really..

I was so excited for our kids to start this school in August 2017. We pulled our 5th and 8th grader out of their school and moved them at the beginning of the year. I wish I could say this has been a positive experience but nothing could be further from the truth. To be upfront, I cannot speak for anything prior to 5th grade. There are times when our kids have come home crying because they don't like this school. They don't like the teachers, fellow students or curriculum. They are both excellent students and feel this year has been a waste. In some classes, the students rule the classroom and the teachers either can't or won't do anything. Other classes have teachers that talk about students, and their grades, to other students. I am not sure if teachers are afraid of the students or just don't care. There are known issues and nothing is being done. I know life is not perfect, teachers and kids are mean, life is mean. We should not shelter our children from these issues but this goes above and beyond. I have heard comments teachers have made to their students and I was appalled. I have spoken to other parents and they are experiencing the same issues. One grade specifically has had the most problems. I know of quite a few students in one grade that have left LPS and others are continuing to do so.Perhaps this was my own misunderstanding but after our initial meeting, I was under the impression that there would be a lot of opportunities for children that had been in GT and pre-AP classes. I have not seen that. If you don't have the quality to back it up then please don't use it as a selling point. As I stated in the beginning, I had such high hopes when we started. I have to say it has been an utter disappointment.

I have always had good experience with teachers. Teachers here take good care of kids, provide right information to parents and support kids as needed. However Principal is rude, snappy and needs to learn some manners. When a parent asks a question, least she could do is provide parent with proper information instead of being snappy, arrogant and throw her weight around!
