We have been very happy with Isbell. My kids love it. The principal is very involved and you will see her at all the PTA events as well as outside in 25 degree weather helping with the carpool line. My kids have had great teachers so far, only one who was so-so. My only complaint is that the school is over capacity. There are nearly 1000 students. Some sort of re-zoning needs to happen and likely will. It’s not the schools fault everyone is moving to Frisco though.

We have had a great experience at Isbell elementary school! Both teachers that we have had have been exceptional. They care very deeply about their students. I appreciate that they not only teach the core grade level subjects but that they also teach our children character traits, like purpose, grit, self-control and zest! I believe these traits are what are going to make our children more successful in life! I have spoken with the principal on a few occasions and she is wonderful and receptive to feedback. I look forward to many more years with children at Isbell!

My son has been here for two years now and has had amazing teachers. Love the way they inspire my son to be better.

Isbell Elementary is an amazing community that supports all students at every level. They have teachers and staff that are dedicated to each and every student. They go above and beyond to help each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I have been absolutely blown away by the support and love every teacher and staff member has given to all of my children that have attended this school. A parent could not ask for a better community to foster a love for learning and a safe environment for his/her child.

Some staff are ineffective at best and toxic at worst. Leadership is lacking and communication with them is difficult. Gifted program doesn’t go far enough to address needs.

School has great potential, it can do better and be on A++ list if it innovated.
