7th grade has been the wort year of i think my entire life. i used to live in cali and the schools there were so nice and welcoming. i'm finding it hard to sleep and pass my classes. The teachers only help me when they feel that their occupation is in danger, especially my 7th period teacher. the only thing that gets me out of the bed these days are my friends and my theater class. When i miss a simple question in class now, i feel tears fill my eyes because i feel like i dont match the expectation of my teachers. The counclers only help you on about the 3rd try of reporting. I once tried to report a kid who was making fun of my clothes and being sexist but he didnt even get talked to. Not only that, but there are plently on roaches around the school, not to mention the crickets as well. Also the bath room arrangements. for girls who are just starting their cycles, they are forced to only go in between classes. (which only gives them four minutes) And they are forced to wait ten minutes before and after class starts and end. on block days, they have to wait 20 minutes. Another thing, because the counclers dont do anything about bullying, the kids are rude and just terrible. Everytime i meet someone new, they only want to talk about how i dress. I dont really care about what people say about myclothes because ive been used to this for so long.

I went to this school for three years. The higher ups in this school do not know how to keep unruly students in check. Rather than at least attempting to fix their behavior, they choose to punish entire grades. The students in this school are extremely rude. This school both brought my self confidence down and made me feel awful for the three years I attended it. The bathroom policies (Only being allowed to go eight times in class within nine weeks) are ridiculous, and terrible for younger students who may have just started their cycles. There is not enough time to go within the passing periods. Many of the teachers are perfectly fine, the leadership is the issue. If you are considering this school for your child, look somewhere else.

Teachers are extremely rude and racism is at its finest. The only consideration they have is getting test scores up for ratings. Certain kids are allowed to say, do and wear whatever they want. Minority children are punished to the maximum and sent to an alternative school. All of the kids sent to SOC in Frisco were African American. The administration supports the racism and does nothing about it. It sickens my heart to see this and not why I moved out to Frisco. I hope speaking on this issue will bring change.

My son recently started Clark and now I'm super worried and concerned for his well being and mental health. He feels very stressed of all the restrictive rules, which if they do not obey they will be punished. Children are sharing between each other that they feel like 'in prison'. There are very strict rules which do not come from the isd but the school. I'm not sure what is the reason of that happening but my son said none of that was happening in his previous school. If there are some children that need more attention and discipline, it should not reflect to the other children.

I have been a student at clark middle school for a while now and ever since the new rules came into play it has been a mess especially the dress code and they don't care to let us have freedom at all (i wonder why) im man after all this place is a "fun safe and interactive learning environment" (like i'm gonna believe that) they often exaggerate the learning experience of us and i'm starting to think this is all for the money and not the purpose but in conclusion this school is not as good as they say it is (and they tell us to not believe everything the media says) we are forced into a social normal and basically treated like an assembly line and i'm tired of it it is the same thing every day they bring nothing new to the table the school system has not changed in over 150 years and we are not going to stop until tis changes we wake up to early and stay up too late and work too hard to be treated like this we are sired of being silenced and the only reason we are still here is because its a law this has to stop because i want the future generations and my future family to grow up in a world better than the one we live in today i will not stand for this any more and i mean this from my heart please change this i can't take it anymore i have been suffering from anxiety and insomnia since 7th grade last year and for the sake of our mental health please change this.

the teachers are amazing, if you are looking for good teachers this school is the way to go. The band program is also great, 100% recommended if you are aspiring to pursue band. But sometimes I do not feel safe in the hallways because of the amount of kids messing around. Personally I think they need more hallway monitors because the hallways are getting out of hand. Also a lot of kids are being disruptive during lunch, and i think they should just get separated instead of assigned seating. I can also learn okay but sometimes kids can disrupt class and it can be hard to learn and sometimes teachers don't fix the problem every time.Overall Clark is pretty good, but there are things that need to be improved for safety.

My children and I are looking forward to the new school year. So, we transferred into this school district in the middle of the year and the staff has done a great job communicating and assisting through our new advanture. The staff has been engaging, patient and very supportive. I understand the school has some new staff memebers and they all seem to want what is best for the students. I believe all of the students are in for a great new school year. As a parent they have my full support!

Before the new admin and teachers started working there, going there was actually tolerable. But the new staff have made the school a prison instead of a friendly learning environment. They constantly want the students to act mature and above their age, and yet the actions they commit and the rules that they enforce can’t be considered anything but childish. They force the students to grow up too quickly and don’t allow them to just be kids and try to enjoy their life. The new Principal clearly doesn’t empathize with the students attending or the teachers working, especially considering the rules they keep adding that do not benefit to the community of our school environment. Maybe at some point, I might have felt safe coming to school, like I couldn’t get hurt if I just kept my head down and didn’t start any conflicts. Now however, I notice that the school doesn’t deal with issues pertaining to violence and bullying. They prioritize certain students and avoid punishing others because they can’t find it in themselves to bother. The school has shown that they don’t care enough about the student’s complaints, problems, or mental health. Instead, they care about the student”s “learning”(when I say learning, I mean giving them booklets and letting them figure it out). They discriminate students who don’t understand the material right away and spend class time berating them in front of others. And when there’s an issue pertaining to bullying (The act of ONE constantly harassing another), both parties are at fault. They take away students creativity and force them into a social norm where they lose all character and development they’ve ever gained throughout their years of life. Majority of students who attend this school find themselves unable to express themselves (its definitely gotta be the dress codes) and lacking things they once had (dignity, intelligence, friends, etc). There’s much more i’d like to write down, however, this is already as messy and not put together as is (I wonder why), I’m going to leave it here and say that students should not attend this junior high for the sake of themselves.

Ever since the new AP staff has joined this year it has nothing but a disaster. The 7th grade assistant principle is constantly lying to parents to try and get kids in trouble and never bothers to deal with any serious problems. Not only that but i have constantly heard about other teachers and how childish and out of line they act. This is the future of our generation and the only thing they are being taught is that their personal needs are not important because they need to "learn". I would not recommend sending your kids here for the sake of their mental health and dignity.

Don't send your kids here if you value their mental health. Ever since the new staff was introduced a lot of students complain that they can't learn as much and the new rules are overwhelming. Not only has our time for socialization been limited, but the new staff is rude and they act as if they hate their jobs. This school has never been perfect, but at least last year I felt as if this was an open and decent place to learn, but as of now I'm not very sure if I can stand on that or not.

Now that this school has a new principal it is very bad I miss Mrs.Duffy, and this is not the 8th grade I imagined. I wish I was in 8th grade last year they had so much fun and control. These new rules are getting riduciousls and there acting like we are in elementary. I'm already stressed that we're going to high school next year and these rules are adding on. We were supposed to had a good time but no I'm having the worst 8th grade.

Now that the school has a new principal, she has caused many new problems than the school had before she came here and now she wants to have these "new rules" that do not benefit any teachers or students in any good ways and has caused more drama and stress to the end of the school year when the end of the school year is supposed to be fun and a good time to end the year but now its just more stress and not beneficial to anyone especially when students have to worry about their grades and with the lack of education taught and also teachers are very stressed when they don't have time to grade and schedule new lessons for their students.

Great school with teachers that care. My daughter loves it and all kids are treated equally. They are also pushed to do their best. The school culture is good and very inclusive. Love it!
