Do your homework before sending your children to this school! Their academic offerings and rigor are lacking. There is a lot of nepotism in their hiring practices. There is no financial transparency with the monies given for building projects. They announce that they have reached their goals but then quickly say they need more money to finish projects. Where is the money going? Board does not consist of educators or a single woman. We witnessed some concerning coaching practices in the athletics department. Ask hard questions and be fully aware before deciding to send your child to this school.

What a great school! It is just what we were looking for when we moved to TN from a different state. Teachers are caring and supportive, academics are challenging, the majority of kids are talented. I love their musical theater program! So many kids can sing beautifully. And the most important thing for us - it is a school that teaches God’s truth and not people’s opinion. If you are looking for a great Christian school in the area that will support your Christian values, this is the place to be.

Definitely not diverse or a lot lace I will send my children. The values and racism and bigotry is horrible.

lots of homework!! also really annoying with dress code I got my skirt measured with a Bible which feels so messes up on so many levels!! (it was long enough by the way) I had some really great teachers though who did to really actually care about me and there are also some really great kids there. over all alright school great in terms of people sorta..

Do your research before sending your children here. It’s a business and they are not truly interested in what is best for your child.

I’ve been at GCA 3 years. To be honest, I don’t have strong opinions about the school; it’s not great, it’s not terrible. I’m grateful that we’re able to be here but I know there are better schools I could be attending. One of my complaints is that the teachers give an unreasonable amount of homework, especially for honors and AP students. Usually I’ll get home and work for 4 or 5 hours. A lot of the teachers also promise not to give homework on Wednesdays so their students can attend youth group, but most of them do. Well over half my class can’t even remember the last time they went to youth group. I have friends who are in IB programs at some of the highest-ranked schools in the state and they get less work than I do.The teachers, overall, are pretty good. They definitely make an effort to connect with their students spiritually and emotionally. It’s nice to not just be a number anymore. However, in the rare case something happens, the administration refuses to hear the students’ side of the story. Many of the teachers also push their political beliefs on students. They claim them as Biblical fact when there’s nothing to back them up. I don’t have any complaints about leadership except for what I said above.A fair majority of the students here are incredibly kind, hardworking, supportive and funny. I’ve made some really good friends at this school, friends I hope I’ll have for life. There’s a handful, though, that are quite the opposite. They say horrible things, slurs even, about minorities, women, or anyone who doesn’t fit the Williamson County norm and no one ever seems to do anything about it.They actually push away applicants with learning differences.A lot of the rare cases of bullying are swept under the rug or straight out ignored. Leadership can definitely pick and choose favorites when taking disciplinary action. Overall, yeah, I’d recommend GCA. Be careful, though, if your child is any flavor of minority or somehow doesn’t fit into the GCA mold I wouldn’t send them. I’m blessed to attend this school but I’ll be very glad to leave.

GCA has been a great fit for us. My daughter has attended GCA since first grade. It is a fun, loving, Christian environment. My daughter is very smart and when compared to her siblings who attend a different school, she is definitely not lacking education. I’m proud of the school educators who have provided her not only with an above average education, but has also equipped her with a solid Christian education. I have been so proud of my daughter and the school for how they have handled situations where children have had differences and settled them with the word of God. I have been impressed again and again with the fine arts program and the amazing talent at GCA. I’m glad I came across this site, because I was shocked to see some of the negative responses. GCA gets all stars from this family! :-)

We have had a great experience at GCA. My daughter, who is now in a public college, comments on how she misses her teachers really caring about her. The teachers and administration not only care about the academics of their students, but their hearts as well. Administrators make solid decisions.

This school is an amazing fit for our family. We have had strong relationships with our kids' teachers every year as well as other parents, and our children love going to school here.

We were hopeful for years that the new school would get things figured out academically and spiritually. Unfortunately, that was not the case for our student. We are now working to UN-do the spiritual damage that has been done. Please research for your children.

We were deceived into thinking the school would improve its academics but each year were more and more disappointed. Administration is disorganized and the school is in constant chaos. Emails not returned by teachers and administrators. It’s quite obvious they don’t know how to run a high school.

GCA is an incredible school that truly is distinctly Christian. They have great teachers that love the Lord and the have a loving and accepting school community.

GCA offers wonderful, godly teachers and the environment of the school allows the students to have a personal relationship with each teacher. The administrative team is great and is always planning and working for ways to make the school even more excellent. This school has been a great fit for my middle school and high school boys giving them the opportunity to receive a solid, Biblical education as well as be involved in the fine arts department and athletics.
