As compared to the other schools in this area this school is ethnically and racially diverse.Franklin Special School District also has a great academic program and is technologically advanced. All the students are provided laptops by the school. My son attended a local WCS before we moved into this district and he said the classes were more academically advanced to Freedom Middle (he is an honors student) than his previous WCS school. Freedom Middle also grades using the HS scale of 93-100 is an A compared to 91-100 is an A for WCS middle schools, so it is more difficult to obtain and maintain a high GPA. The school environment is wonderful and very inclusive. Any problems with bullying years ago are non-existent now.

My kid is victim of bullying and the Principal and Assistant Principal can't care less. They keep making excuses to don't put a stop to this. Taking my kid to this school is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made.

I have had 2 children attend Freedom Middle School and have been EXTREMELY pleased with the education they received there. The teachers and administration are HIGHLY experienced and qualified, and truly care about the education of EACH child. The teachers are dedicated to the non-academic activities as well...band, drama, sports, etc. I have always been amazed at how many teachers and staff sttend the sporting events, chorus programs, and theater productions. The 8th graders are VERY prepared for high school when they graduate from Freedom Middle!

hi i am a recent graduate of FMS and most of the teachers are ok, some are great, but a few are terrible. the principal is a total jerk and a control freak. a lot of unnecessary rules that are enforced far more than the reasonable ones. on the bright side, most of the students are kind and the food is good, as are the sports. the best part is the theatre. i was in honors classes and i believe i got a good education.

I am proud to say that i am a parent of a freedom middle school student! the school is wonderful,the food is great,and the most important...the teachers are amazing! Last year my child went to Freedom intermediate and she was a ''c'' ,'d',and ''f'' student.So now she is in freedom middle and i don't know how the teachers did it but now daughter is a ''a'' and ''b'' student.. i would like to thank FMS for helping my daughter do better in school!
