Excellent diverse school that offers many opportunities

Good school.. They need to be more understanding about parents who work. They should have sports after school for kids.

Teachers are great (visscher, consoli especially), but as the previous post mentions, the school does very little to accommodate working parents, other than the CARE program, which unfortunately exempts our children from bus service, making juggling work/ family even more difficult. The principal is non-responsive regardless of the topic, and claims parents' emails go to her spam. Easy solution... check your spam. Lastly, the school does not offer any extra-curricular activities for the students, such as clubs or other activities, like the S. Brunswick school district offers. It's not a bad school by any means, but they can definitely do more for students and families.

My daughter attended the pre-k and kindergrden. Her teachers ms .Vischer and ms.Consoli were fantastic. She loved her school.Only problem I had there was the chaos during the first week of school ,my daughter was sent in another bus, similar experience with other children too.I should say the teachers were very responsible and focused on academics. My daughter is very good at reading only because the hard effort put in by Ms.consoli.Ms.vischer in pre k herself is very creative which gives more room for creativity to the children in the classroom .Over all the school is fantastic

The principal is so involved and focused on moving the students forward! Great and successful people will come from this school.

The teachers at this school do a good job and I appreciate their efforts. Unfortunately, I am not all that impressed with the principal, who should be just as responsive as she would expect her staff to be, but I am still waiting on a response from her since February. Also, months after an incident where the attendance office failed to notify a parent that their child did not show up to school, they continue to get it wrong by sending warning letters home to parents saying parents did not report their child absent, which is completely inaccurate and even scary since the school did not call the parents on those dates to inquire about the students' whereabouts. Lastly, this school had at least 10 snow days or delayed openings this winter, which was excessive and unnecessary in some cases. This showed complete disregard for working parents and teaches children that attendance is not of the utmost importance. This is our 1st year in this school, and I grow increasingly frustrated on a daily basis with the lack of professionalism and the lax approach to fixing their attendance office problems.

This is a great school. We have been very impressed with the administrators and teachers. Our son attended another school at one point but asked to return to this one. I also consider this school very responsive and parent-friendly.

School is like a little United Nations. The diversity is excellent with no majority or minority allowing kids to be exposed to multiple cultures, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. I appreciated the education my kids received here (within the confines of No Child Left Behind) and only found one teacher I didn't like much, all the rest were outstanding. I do wish that kids had more recess and outdoor time but that seems to be the norm these days to lock kids up and prevent them from really running wild for a time, as much due to parents requests as anything else. I do need to stress that the staff at the after school program leave a lot to be desired. Some are well meaning but many are heavy handed and should not be in a position of authority over children.

If you value teaching toward standardized testing and zero room for teacher creativity, this is the school for you. Administration is bureaucratic and supercilious at best. What parents seek in the elementary years is room for social/emotional growth balanced with a love for learning from teachers who love to teach. This is not a place for either. Children are NOT allowed to RUN around during recess, only outside for air. It reminds me more of a penitentiary than a school.

The principal is good at hiding the mess, interferes with everything negatively and really doesn't seem to care for the children's education. There might be just a couple of good teachers there and you are lucky if your child gets in that classroom.

As an Educator, I value the importance of my students and their educational needs and services. It is disappointing to point out the kind of administrations and there lack of care or concern for our students and teachers. Terrible job done by the Principal herself and the VP himself. They are concerned about themselves and safe harboring the school to make themselves look good. The principal is terrible at communicating and getting a hold of. I would not send my child at the school based on administration. Terrible.

The teachers are dedicated and meticulous. The homework given is excellent standard and our son can do it by himself based on the training in the school. School follows up on attendance of the student. Parents-Teacher meeting is very detailed and they go through patiently with parents. Teachers even respond immediately for questions on emails. We hope our son can be in the same school. (Heard they are moving certain communities from this to other school due to over enrollment.)

Excellent teachers with sound educational practices. My daughter is in 2nd Grade and is enjoying her classwork and homework. She loves the teachers in school and after care.
